Today I wanted to show my project that I've been working on for about 2 years. I am working on my own version of a Disneyland park named Disneyland UK. This is, of course, a fictional park. You will especially notice that the entire park is very inspired by Disneyland Paris. This is because i think that Disneyland Paris has the most beautiful park and i just love how everything looks and feels. This is exactly what i wanted in my own Disneyland park. But there are still some big differences. Also are all the rides and lands accompanied with audio and images.
The park is split in different Planet Coaster saves. I did this so i can build in as much detail as i like without losing a lot of fps. So for each land in the park there is a different save. Except for my Studios park this is all in one save because the park is a lot smaller.
In this post i will share everything that i'm working on in this project and there will be quite a lot to share.
Discoveryland
We start with my progress on Discoveryland. Discoveryland is my favorite themed land in Disneyland Paris so of course i wanted to create my own Discoveryland for this project. But this discoveryland has some big differences. First of all i expanded on the theme Vulcania, this is a fictional island in the movie 20.000 leaugues under the sea by Walt Disney. So you see big rocks around the land to simulate that you are in a vulcanic area. The building on the right is a fancy Restaurant called 'The astronomers club'.
Journey to the center of the earth
The biggest difference with my Discoveryland is that i build the ride Journey to the center of the earth. This ride, again, expands on the idea of Vulcania. You will see Captain nemo's base and research facilities as you explore the vulcano inside and outside. Before you plummet down to the center of the earth in the elevator shaft. From there you will step inside your vehicle that will take you on a tour through the center of the earth. But a bit further in the tour you suddenly hear a big roar coming from deep down the caves. You will soon find out that its a lava monster. After this encounter your vehicle speeds up to about 64 km/h and accelerates out the volcano and inside a cave where you hit the maximum speed of 100 km/h. From there will follow a coaster segment before the vehicle sends you into the brake run and thus the end of the ride.
This is the first part of the queue area. The area is very detailed but not yet finished, i will post more pictures in the coming weeks when that will be finished.
This right here is the first scene you enter in the ride named 'The crystal caverns'
This is the part where you blast out of the Vulcano. This scene is accompanied with outside smoke and fire effects on top of the vulcano to simulate it bursting out lava.
This is the section where you reach the maximum speed of 100 km/h and ascend into darkness.
This was my first post for now. In the coming weeks i will share more of my Disney park.
