My Dolphin Taxi

Greetings,

Here's my Dolphin build. Engineered it is an amazing multiple purpose ship taking care of business. Great bubble jump range and doesn't use a lot of fuel to get there. With basic pilot skills it will defeat every interdiction. Accepting a few I've had some NPCs check it out then decide nope and run away. Maybe it was my Elite combat status. For new players it takes care of no cargo data delivery missions trying to get allied with every faction in a system for better profits and is fast doing it. It is also great for completing military ascension missions delivering wine or whatever to military big wigs.

For experienced players with totally engineered combat ships including the big 3 I currently use it for farming HGE USS mats. I started my own personal mini-game maxing out every manufactured material using the traders and farming HGEs to do it as they are so plentiful at the moment. Grade 1-4 is complete not that I need them and I'm working on four left for grade 5. The Dolphin is awesome doing this. I'll post a picture when complete.

With awesome engineered thrusters landing on a high-g planet with a docking computer is unwise without excellent shielding. DCs don't figure out engineered thrusters. The lighter the ship the worse the DC deals with them. Go manually then see if you have the skills to land on Archenar 3 with 6.73 gravity. Try it without shields to test your pilot skills. You remembered to have several rebuys?

Actually I often use a 5A fuel scoop to get somewhere (only 20 ton cargo with it), store it and add a 5E cargo rack, then load up with collector limpets. Lots of fun. All this for a measly 14.7 million credits with my build and serious engineering. So is that 36 million build for an Asp Explorer all that better as say a taxi?

I love the Dolphin Wayfarer Blue paint job but then the Devs offered the Taxi Yellow. It is not as pretty but nails every cab driving around Manhattan in New York City. I couldn't help myself...and I live in the USA midwest! Go figure...

When I take a taxi I actually expect to find a passenger cabin fitted :p
Do you want me to fly with the biowaste!? :poop:
Given how fast this Dolphin flies you won't have time to sleep in a passenger cabin. Still per the game I'll have to add one. Might I suggest taking advantage of our gourmet kitchen? Eat fast as we will quickly arrive!

As for hailing a New York taxi in Manhattan you are lucky that the driver speaks the same language! :)

Ok then, I'll hold my breath until we're at destination :ROFLMAO:

Currently running a fleet (pod?) of seven as bubble taxis, great little ships although I usually fit a wake scanner for DMWE

The vulture can trasnport 6 soldiers, not bad ;)

6 First class, which is fine for VIP missions, just as a dolphin could perhaps haul 32t void opals vs another ships 64t or 128t

its all relative

point passengers in a Vulture possible.

Lack of small seismic charges prohibits game play.

Yeah but that's because of the modularity. Many ships are unbalanced. It would be easier and better to have ships dedicated to specific roles instead. This would solve a lot of contraddictions.
