My Drop ship costs more than yours :P

Sounds like a bug which should be reported. When a 64-bit unsigned integer underflows (i.e. becomes less than zero, which can't happen in an unsigned integer) it rolls round to 18,446,744,073,709,551,615. It would seem that your rebuy is 18,446,744,073,709,549,561, which indicates a rebuy cost of -2,054 Cr. and a ship cost of -41,080 Cr. at a 5% insurance rate.

It's the multi plat test serv and the ship was 100 cd no need for Fed rank.... So now I'm worried I did a bobo and posted wrongly?

I think this means that it is not necessarily a bug, per se. I remember from previous betas that if you bought a ship cheap (as the betas supported) if you tried to sell it, instead of gaining money, you lost it. So it may be connected to that.

I found I can sell the internals no problem .... and no one's noticed my CMDR name :p .

That was the first thing I noticed, but I'm a software developer, so I take in whole screens of bugs in one second. It's genetic. :)

No-one has a Dropship and that little cash, no rankings. The rebuy is obviously an integer rollover as Robert Maynard pointed out.

Are you on a Mac?

Ahh, I remember this bug from the last beta. Easily reproducible.

Buy a beta ship for 100cr. Sell all the internals to make quick bucks. Look at the re-buy cost and it will be this. You also can't sell the ship as it will bug out. Many of us did this with multiple Type 9's in the last beta so we could get some fast bucks to buy good modules for the new ships we were testing. Some people ended up with 30 or so un-sellable ships parked up in stations! Incidentally, it was discovered by doing this that the max no of ships you can have in a station is 25 :)

No rank needed? Interesting, I'll fire up this beta on my PC and finally try the Clipper before ranking up to buy it on my real save...
