Newcomer / Intro My dumb noob questions

So yeah, my first flight sim, and i have to admit that flying around is fun, but other aspects has me pulling my hair out!

So i picked up a mission that had me fly to a sector and find 3 signals. I've flown around for 30mins in the sector it says i'm supposed to be, but nothing is there. I don't understand what else i'm supposed to be doing.

Some advice please! :D

I'm guessing it was 'Rebel Transmissions' ?
You need to stay in SC when you get to the system, pull back on the throttle so you are still in SC but going as slow as possible and watch out for completely random 'Weak Signal Sources'
Once you see one target it and you should have a blue message on screen telling you safe disengage is enabled. Drop out of SC onto the WSS and pray/hope it's what you need.
If not jump back into SC and repeat until you get what you need.

When you find an outpost with a black market (found in contacts) These collect artwork / prototype tech / rebel transmissions are great earners.

If the mission is collect 3 items, just keep going and finding more. When you return with say 12 items, complete the mission and sell the surplus on the black market for a decent payout.

Always check that there are no further missions asking for 'rebel transmissions' or whatever, as you can take it and hand in again using some of your surplus collection. It doesn't matter that you found them in the wrong system.

:eek:Yeah I've made a fortune last night turning in salvaged black boxes and prototype tech. Just don't go to any fed or empire stations while they're still in ur hold.... If u get scanned you will get into bother with authorities
