Ty for the rep guys! Ive got a question though. I'm currently bounty hunting in a RES until I have enough money to decently outfit a cobra. I've tried C2 bursts and C1 cannons, but the cannons didn't do much. So, I'm currently running C2 and C1 pulses. Would C2 cannons (gimballed or fixed) and a pair of C1 lasers, of whichever type, be a viable loadout? I really want to use cannons

In my cobra and then my viper I ran C1 Beams and C2 Multicannons. Gimballed cos I can't aim for toffee. Haven't run with cannons yet, but those MCs really chewed up unshielded ships.

Just keep in mind you're at the beginner stage of the Game... The era of excitement, where everything is brand new and there's tons of new stuff to learn and master.
You'll soon learn that doing the exact same thing for the 10000th time eventually loses appeal - even if one day you do it in a FdL, Python or Anaconda.

When that time comes - you'll immediately recognize what I mean...

Yes but games have shelf lives and that's precisely why. Even chess is doing the same opening time after time, mixing up the middle then predictable material loss and end games. Still, it's been around forever. Small fee for a game, so many months from it for entertainment and then move on. I suppose that's the only recourse. I've participated in numerous games that dedicated fan bases lamented as "fading" and tried to keep alive, like Weekend at Bernies.. but no dice.

Good to see a post like this on the forums. I've been play 2mths, since then PP has been launched and CQC annouced. I have'nt even touch PP yet still too many of my own goals to do and I will only dabble in CQC when it hits the PC. I get the same feeling play that I had when I played the original. Unfortunately one of my main goals is a little tricky, convincing the Mrs to let me have a triple monitor set up. If the Devs could work on that one I'd be over the moon

Yeah I love PP, but I think it's wiser to indulge in it once you've come to grips with the game a little. As for the Mrs... Birthday soon? Or wait until Christmas. That's how I got my joystick last year.

Birthdays and Christmas always help but its the convincing her to let me have them thats the problem I could happily buy them tomorrow but she says 'no you don't need 3 monitors'. Guess I'll have to settle for a larger monitor instead and keep working on her
