My epic and completely unnecessary trip across Alpha Centauri.

I was doing some trading when I realised the station I wanted to fly to was not 0.22ls away, but a massive 0.22ly away. Orbiting a star which is orbiting the main star with an orbital period of over 300 million days. I think I may have set a speed record (although maybe not, some of you guys are crazy enough to try to cruise to other systems).

This has to be as far away as it can get without being classed as another system right?

I remember this well from Frontier. The bulletin boards would offer missions to Alpha Centauri, but it always seemed to be for AC-C, which was nigh on impossible to reach before the timer expired.

I know that some talented people managed to make those deadlines, but I was never one of them! Maybe I should head over and try again for old times sake. Might upgrade the FSD first though...

Yes in Frontier you sorta jumped out of hyperspace in the centre of gravity for the system, meaning you had no chance of completing any timed Alpha Centauri mission. Most of the time you were just glad you had enough fuel to reach Eden lol.

Alpha Centauri is a Kind of Trinar System ...Alpha and Beta are closer together...but proxima centauri (actual closest Star to Sol) far outside (some scientist think that he revolved alpha/beta in 500.000 years) .
