Powerplay My faction flipped a system and it didn't do anything.

The game rules imply a control system or 50% of the exploited systems being a "strong" faction type will reduce the fortification trigger. We flipped a control system to one of our strong factions and nothing happened to the system's triggers or otherwise. Other faction flippers say flipping the control system works and I believe I have even seen multiple systems with reduce triggers flipped only in the control system.

What gives?

Which power, which control system?

So does this mean that the influence bonuses for Aisling Duval and Felicia Winters are pretty much useless?

Aisling Duval, Cailli.

Trigger is 8096. It should be 4048 tons right now. I waited until I saw fortification percentages just in case it was a visual bug. It showed 4% at 340 tons when it should be nearly 10%.

I searched around to check if there are any current systems that are receiving a 50% reduction in trigger from only the control system being flipped. I found one Alliance system called Anayol.

Anayol is 33.23 ly from the HQ. At that distance, the trigger should be about 5296 tons. It's trigger is 2648. It has 7 exploited systems.

The majority is NOT Corporate. Corporate is the government type that the Alliance benefits from having. The control system is the only requirement met here and yet the trigger is still reduced.

Lusonda has a Confederacy government for us, and its trigger has never changed.
Bug reports were put in months ago, but ignored with the rest of them.

That looks like old data. If you got your data from EDDB then you can ignore it. It is out of date with data such as government.

Should be this now.

Looks like some of those systems are showing the wrong government in the galaxy map. Happens a lot with low population systems that won't let you enter the system map. Guess I'll have to find a new example.

Ah yes. The buggy galaxy map. Reported many moons ago. Only the system map gives a true report, including minor faction influence. Never trust the right hand status panel within the cockpit.

At the Chapterhouse of Inquisition, we've got several months of tracking this data. We had hoped that system flips affected triggers automatically, and we saw an immediate change for the worse when Nyalayan flipped away from Patronage.

As for how the bonuses apply, we also have a list of systems where it doesn't seem to be applying, or it is applying and we don't know why. It does seem like FDev responded to our flips and bug reports before others. Hopefully, we are nearing automation like we saw in Nyalayan.

Two questions:
Did the system flip before or after the weekly cycle flipped? It's possible the trigger change won't happen until the cycle flips.

Did the faction you're pushing simply take the majority influence, or did it actually seize control of the "controlling station"? This is usually the most populous station in the system.

Flipped before the cycle so it definitely should have been reduced. And it actually took control of the most populous station in the system. I made sure we flipped it completely, correctly before complaining.
