My few ideas.

Here are a few ideas that I have had for awhile.

Funnily enough, I was discussing with a friend of mine how useful a docking computer that would guide you out of the starport. Then, a couple months later, Frontier announced that very thing.

I think that upgradable components on the SRVs would be immensely helpful. I know that some of those Guardian site Sentinels can be a real pain in the butt with standard weapons. And a little more clarity on the wave scanner would be nice.

Speaking of SRVs, maybe a couple different ones for different purposes. Maybe planetary mining. Or a tractor trailer version that would use the trailer for scientific experiments that would unlock new tech from some of the engineers. How about some sort of some tunnel you could drive in at some of these abandoned outposts that lead to the reason they left.

One thing I think would be awesome, is a module block. Say you have 3 class one modules, but only 1 class one compartment and a couple class twos. A module block would take some smaller class modules and combine them to fit together in a larger class compartment. In this example, 2 of your class one modules would block up in to a class two slot. Instead of them both taking up class two slots.

And now with the announcement of Carriers, maybe there would be a way to put some vendors in them to earn a little extra income. Maybe that could pave the way for us to have a full blown planetary base at some point. Nothing big, but just something to call home. Where we could work on our ships, sell commodities and modules for profit, and do science stuff as well. With the number of planets out there, having one to call ours wouldn't be a big deal. Of course, proximity to shipping lanes for commercial traffic is a requirement.

I'm hoping that there will be more involved gameplay for those of us that don't like playing in open. The mining and exploration are fun, but it just feels like there could be something else as well. Especially on planets. Maybe something like discovering why abandoned outposts are.... abandoned. Plus, maybe we could claim them and hire someone to run them and sell commodities to star bases in the area. And we would have to bring materials back to keep the outpost functional. Or, once again, experiments. Something like discovering a unique process that would give the player a 1 LY boost that most others wouldn't get. Because right now, almost everybody can get all the same items.

Most of this is wishful thinking, and probably could never be implemented.
 
Funnily I said about letting us use the slots pretty much in the same way, also proposed that we have a slot engineer to create them or combine them as it would add diversity to the game.

I like the SRV upgrades, I also like the idea of using the crappy thing for more varied purposes, like the experiment bit above. Even if it’s something like you have discovered that if you vary your fuel mixture rate you can jump further or useless fuel that would be great, and it would have to be discovered so that again would add a new twist to the game.
 
Thanks. I mean, if you really wanted to add to the immersion of the game, some things that provide a solo "existence" would be fun.
