My first experience with missiles...

Right, so ... I'm a bounty hunter... I've been trying different load outs ... this one particular load-out seemed like a good idea (read a thread about it). So; in my Freagle, I packed some burst lasers into the belly and dumbfire in the top (didn't have enough money at the time for the seekers + a bigger power plant) and off I go, thinking that I'm now legit and will kill stuff. A lot of stuff. Because you know, laser to eat shields and a dumbfire missile up the exhaust because I don't like your face and you're a dirty criminal.

I'm in Everate, and cruise to the navb; exiting SC there and low and behold, my first wanted target. Now, this is an NPC because I'm playing on Mobius for the time being; so no PvP just yet. Anyway, select target; KWS, sub-target powerplant, unleash the fury that is the personification of a god! Beams a firing, the target in his Sidey goes ballistic (as one would expect), and makes lots of cute threats that make no sense considering he's about to die.

So, my beams made short work of his shielding. Now I just needed to get in close for that final shot. Annnnd .. fire! Miss. Rinse and repeat, 9 missiles fired all missed. Get in nice and close, I can see his thrusters flaring, I thrust up and arc over him, flight assist off, I laugh like a maniac as I unleash a dumbfire missile. Less than a second and it's all over....

.... Your ship has been destroyed.

Dumbfire are fun. But don't miss. They are expensive
Easier said than done, mate - for me anyway. xD

Save up until you can buy the seeker version. They are fire and forget missiles and do tons of damage
That's the plan. Switch out the dumbfires for a turreted pulse; that worked really nicely - before bed I upgraded the turret to another gimballed burst to see how three work for tonights hunting. :D
When I have the money it's 2 beams and seekers - just wondering if two beams will do enough damage with the smallish powerplant the Freagle has (two bursts and a turreted pulse eat up the power).
