And there I was, in a new ship, carefully manouvering into the first spaceport.
But what a luck, docking is easy, so off we go to a new planet.
Floating in space looking how to set up my supercruise and hypercruise.
Wrestling with the different panels, someone sneaky get behind me.
Before I could run my hull was at 14%......
Docking again to get some repairs. Well I made it and have to start trading with 15 credits to spent. This is going to take some time before I can buy my first upgrade.
Oh well, live sucks in space I suppose

That's some bad luck. I've had dozens on flights since yesterday and not one player has tried their luck. Maybe it's because I don't hang around outside the stations?

I have been taken out by an NPC. Was one of my very early jumps. Pulled me straight out of supercruise. Before I knew what was happening I was toast!

I got away from my first ever jump with 9% hull. But that was an npc. No human player has take a pot shot yet.

You can delete your savegame if you are broke and not willing to fight your way into funds again.

But the most profitable thing you can do at the start is actually fight for Eranin in the conflict zones (set your faction to Eranin in the right hand panel after you arrive at the conflict zone)

Indeed fighting for Eranin is a quick way to make money. Top tip, if there's a choice of targets go for Federation fighters as they are the easiest to take out. Keep out of the way of Anacondas unless there's a pack of friendlies already attacking. Remember which side you're on and be careful not to hit friendlies as things can go bad very quickly
