My First Real Trip Outside the Bubble

Well, some of you REAL long distance folks would disagree, but I'm currently on my way to Colonia to see the sights and to just get out of the back yard for a change. :)

Previously, my longest venture out was less than 6000Ly before heading back home. Today I managed to make it to Gru Hypue, but I'm exhausted and will call it a day. Not sure how far I traveled, but I think I'm only half way there?

Anyway, I'll plug away at it tomorrow, and maybe the day after, but I DO want to get there. I was kinda surprised to find as many unexplored systems along the way as I am, which is slowing me down quite a bit. But I do appreciate the credits I get when cashing them in. :D

So if you folks who are, or have been, out there I would appreciate any tips or suggestions for interesting places to check out. TIA!

EDIT: I just checked, and I have about 7800Lys to go as the crow flies. Probably closer to 8400 the way I zig-zag all over the place. But I'm making progress...

When you go far, it's far! But if you're not jumping at the same range as your predecessors, you can always find a system or two that haven't been scanned. Good luck cmdr. It isn't easy - which is why every player hasn't done it.

I put together a AspE with mostly modules I had laying around, so it's not maxed out in any way. I only see about 40-45Ly jumps on average. Not too bad, but not great. And I've probably already gotten credit for about 2 dozen or more unexplored systems. Instead of going straight to the next station, I kinda zig and zag around a bit. :)

I did about 13-14k today, but I won't be doing that much again any time soon. That's a bit much for me. I just wanted to get far enough out so that I'm not tempted to turn around and go back like I did before.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing. Even if you fly right down the middle, 95% of it is undiscovered. At least that was my experience in May/June this year.
