My first screenshots...

Well, I had to start somewhere I suppose, and now I'm exploring, I don't have any excuse not to take shiny screenshots.

I've set up a Flickr page to drop my images in, and here are the first 5 images from my recent trip, nothing too special yet, I tend to find that the more interesting exploration finds don't necessarily make for great images...so I'm just trying to work with what I find, and I guess my pictures could equally be taken in inhabited space. I'll try and take more in future if anyone is interested?

Nicely done!

You can remove the HUD/console if you wish for a more scenic screenshot ...someone will post the keys.

Thanks!

It's Alt-Shift-G, I did it for 4/5 of the shots...unfortunately it doesn't remove all elements, and it seems to leave the comms panel for some reason.

Thanks - didn't know about EliteGalaxy - dropped one of them there for now...maybe I'll drop others as I take them. :)

Also, if you are outwith known space, fly in Solo mode - then Alt + F10 takes 4K screenshots (even if you aren't running in that resolution.) They are huge! This also allows you to crop and still end up with a huge image, great for removing hull and cockpit parts!

Yup - all my shots are taken in 4K - I fly solo for this exact reason. The latest shots (as you can see) are cropped from these now that I'm trying to frame my shots within the usable area of the cockpit window.

A few more shots from today...just a note, I don't do any post-processing, only cropping. These images are exactly as I saw them in-game.

Again some nice pics Pete!
Liking it so far ;)

I just got back from my exploration trip and seeing this screens makes me wonna leave again :D

Well I received one of the most terrifying sights since I started exploring when I went to take the "Channel" photo.
I flew down between two rings in SC (yes, that was crazy to do) but when I was flying down, one of the sets of rings seemed to be spinning backwards!
Once between the rings, I dropped out of SC, and I couldn't believe what I saw...the ring on the right was stationary as usual, but the inner ring on my left was rotating past me at a huge speed. I'm sure if I dared to fly close to it, the first rock to hit me would have put an early end to my exploration trip!

Unfortunately I didn't have (and still don't) any video screen capture software installed, so I couldn't take a high quality video, but I did grab my cellphone and take a short video with that. Sorry for the terrible quality etc, but I think you should be able to make out what's happening here...
