My first thoughts

I'm lucky enough to be in a position to play this on day of release whilst I didn't get to play PC1 until about 4 years ago, maybe 5.

Clearly the game is different to the original, and even to PZ. I do like the ideas of what they've done even if it will take some time to get used to it.

As others have mentioned, some bugs are there. The select multiple doesn't always work, not sure why. I have info pop up about people wanting to leave my park and can't find a path - yet I have just 1 ride and a small waterpark and all paths are connected.
Can't think of the other couple I spotted early in playing but I'm sure others will mention it.

I mentioned this the other day but why wasn't this game released as Alpha/Beta to a larger group of people? It seems very clear to me now that the YouTubers only played the game for likes and views (which generate them money). Some made multiple videos of virtually the same thing and bombarded us with videos all the time. Yet bugs wasn't mentioned. And probably not even reported. Otherwise frontier would have at least attempted to fix.
Why is it taken until the general, paying, public to inform of bugs?

I don't mind the UI. It'll definitely take some getting used to it. I don't mind the non scroll of curser at edge of screen as I normally like to turn that off anyway. But people should get a choice. The heat map icon isn't intrusive at all.

There should be a quick delete button, especially for footpaths, if you select something wrong. Also, the ability to see the path being built is far better in other games in a sense of steps and ramps. The little greyed out bit to indicate the next step isn't the best. Can't tell if it's a slope or step or even straight!

And for the love of god, why do I have to play other game modes etc, complete sections, to unlock rides? Why can't I add a lazy river, a monorail into sandbox games?
This is not fair, or very good at all.

I've switched off for the night. Played for 5 hours. Built a mine coaster with little to no scenery for mining (unless you create bits and that could be quite fiddly). But I like it. Plus, it's the first time I've built one with lots of scenery in such a short time. I love the scenery brush. I created my own custom brushes which has a few trees and bushes and rocks so it blends better.
The scalable took is fantastic too. Means I don't have to use one item 20 times to get a good height (rocks for instance) and can just scale 1 item. Again this made making my mine train coaster just a bit easier.

Anyway, for those just turning on, or those spending all night playing. Enjoy.
It is different, but a good improvement.

Make sure you are choosing a sandbox mode where research is disabled. There are 3 modes plus custom. Some modes are more like the challenge modes with economics active. You should also be able to change the settings in existing sandbox saves via the main options menu.

I choose the classic mode which tells me no research etc is required.
Surely that means everything should be available.

Just going to give my two cents here, as a content creator who had early access and a senior developer myself, hopefully it can give some context.

We may have watched different videos, but I've seen plenty of people (Silv, Rudi, Jonti, Maskedbandit) mention bugs and whilst I myself didn't mention any in my video, that was mostly because I didn't run into many of them during my play. The ones I did run into I passed on to the team and I know for sure that the people I've mentioned earlier also passed them on to the team.

Bugs are not something you can easily put an estimation on of how long it is going to take to fix. And just because someone reports a bug doesn't mean that it is going to be fixed soon; not only because it often takes a lot of time to reproduce a specific bug and find which piece of code or which pieces of code are causing the issue. Of that I can from experience say that sometimes fixing a single bug can take days because of how hard it is to fix. On top of that bugs are also prioritized, so that the most pressing ones can be fixed first, so a specific bug can live in the game for a long time.

I hope all of this adds some context and assurance that Frontier is aware of the bugs that we found and is certainly working on fixing them, it just takes time to do so. That's the nature of bugs I'm afraid. I'm sure that in the first patch a lot of issues will already be ironed out.

I posted this in a different thread as well, but this mode gives you all the scenery:

AFAIK you can still adjust that once you're in the file, so in your sandbox settings you should be able to just disable research.

I do have an idea for the "guests finding no entrance/exit while leaving". In the tutorials, the gates aren't in the buildable/purchased area of the park. Could be a potential bug.

I have found with my sandbox park that I'm generating research points within it from the mechanics and that has allowed me to unlock things. If you have chosen a sandbox where everything isn't unlocked already, you can still unlock it like in PlanCo, this time just using acquired over time research points instead of spending cash over time to unlock a specific item.
