Horizons My first use of the Neutron Superhighway

I got a mission to take a passenger sightseeing 19,000 light years from Pomeche.

At first I was slowboating with normal and Jumponium jumps. Thanks to posts on here I found out how best to access the Neutron Star Superhughway, and I have to say I'm impressed. I've gone from 37.4 LY Jumps to up to 150 Light year jumps. Which means much faster progress towards my goal.

I find charging at neutron stars is way easier than a white dwarf supercharge. In fact I can usually get it done in a less than a minute. The hardest part seems to be finding the next star to jump to. (And remembering to divert to a refuel able star every so often.

Is it fair game to scan other stars in the system if the explorers that's gone before you have only claimed the main star?

Sure, it's fair game [yesnod] so long as you hand in your data before anyone else.

The rule is, you can have 100 commanders scan the same star, but whoever sells their data first gets the First Discovery tag. I recently completed my Pilgrimage to Sag A, apparently you can't call yourself an explorer until you make the trip and take the picture, don't blame me, its a rule or something, (even though I had 27300 first discoveries already before making the trip) but on that trip I jump over 30000 Lys using Neutrons, got my name on over 100, along with 26 or so Black Holes and a total of 8100 First Discoveries, a lot of them in systems where someone else named the main star but were too lazy to scan the other stuff in the system. I love counting coup on their water worlds and other valuable stuff they left behind. For me, if it ain't tagged, I don't mind going down and scanning it, I don't bother with the stuff someone already named most times. But on that trip I jump to 866 systems and made 279 million, not bad for a 5 week trip with the new exploration payout, probably would of only netted about 70 mil on the old payouts.
