My franchise is broke and no way to fix it !!!!! IT's FIXED

106 hours in and my franchise map is now broke, as much as I love this game I have spent the last 5 hours trying to fix it and just want to give up now.

I have water ways running through my park in one continuous stream branching off all around and took the water out to put a waterfall in at the beginning, now I have done that it all worked but I wanted to expand them and when I did the water will not go back in at the correct height anymore, only lower.

I have done the undo button but it won't go back far enough now, I don't believe the water tool when it shows red indicates where the problem area is either. I can't face doing this all again but don't know how I can get this fixed.

Thank you so much, I can't believe I didn't check this. Probably lost about 20 minutes overall but my zoo is working again. I can't thank you enough.

You may also have to keep an eye on animals wandering into part of the waterway , You cannot place water at a height where an animal is

Omg I didn't know about this either. It may save my zoo, too.

Does it work in franchise mode? What happens if I sold the animals already. Do I get them back if I go to a previous save?

The animals assigned to your franchise are independent of the save file. So if you sold them they are sold, even if you go back to a previous save. Also if you bought them then go back, you will still have the ones you bought. Basically they are attributed to the "franchise" not the save game.

If you happen to encounter the same water editing problem again, make sure you Box All Animals first then feel free to edit the terrain and place water to your heart's content.
