Hey OP, Ive been single fer ten years this year...ironically, I was married fer ten years before that...I prefer being on me own truth be told. Or at least thats what I tell meself cos truth is Im a single parent with baggage, so I couldnt even if I wanted to. Its simply not practical on all sorts of levels as my daughter is autistic and I gotta put her needs above me own...is what it is.
Somewhat different perspective perhaps...welcome to the club and fear not, yer still in shock...denial is next usually followed by anger, then regret...after a couple years ye be right as rain and just as sad as the rest of us ^
