I agree maybe Giga and Deinonychus won't be at launch. Nice list by the way.

Very nice selection of dinosaurs my friend;)

Wait, Deinonychus is confirmed to appear?

Wait, Deinonychus is confirmed to appear?
Yep, there were set pic leaks of the animatronics/puppets a few months back. You can see what they look like in this thread...

Woah Woah Woah. Hold on. My math was wrong cause I forgot the final number in JWE1 with expansion packs.
68 (including Pteranadon). yikes.

I still think they are going to bring 5 Pterasaurs and 5 Marine Reptiles (was was thinking maybe even 10, but definitely not now).

Adding Amargasaurus and Coelophysis means there are at least 5 dinos from JWE1 that are getting the boot (at least to the Deluxe Pack or later dlc). Every brand new dino for JWE2 base game boots another returning dino. I still think the Giga and Deinonychus are geing to get pushed; even more so now.

Maybe the hybrids? I-Rex and Indo I think are mandatory include, but the others (including E750) could probably get pushed to a "Secrets of Dr. Wu, Part Deux" dlc later.

With only the I-Rex and Indo, that leaves us with 65 dinos, 5 marine, and 5 aviary (not including whatever 5-7 creatures the Delxue Pack adds). But I strongly suspect we are going to see more new faces in the begining. I'm guessing we'll miss Dracorex (sad, but it definitely wont be Friar Tuck or Stygy) and one of the more obscure/underappreciated out of ankylosaurid, stegosaurid, and ceratopsids. In the exchange I think we'll be getting more of the last few remaining novel canon dinos like Microceratus, Hadrosaurus, Othniela, and Ornitholestes. I'm sure our old friends will still be re-added later.

It also occurs to me that "75" is a preliminary number they are reasonably certain they can promise while we'll find out closer to launch if they could make more in time.

Almost for sure it will have all the visible dinos from the films themselves (including the non-dinos).

*Known
1. Allosaurus
2. Ankylosaurus
3. Apatosaurus
4. Baryonyx
5. Brachiosaurus
6. Carnotaurus
7. Ceratosaurus
8. Compsognathus
9. Corythosaurus
10. Dilophosaurus
11. Dimorphodon
12. Gallimimus
13. Mamenchisaurus
14. Mosasaurus
15. Nasutoceratops

16. Pachycephalosaurus
17. Parasaurolophus
18. Pteranodon
19. Sinoceratops
20. Spinosaurus
21. Stegosaurus
22. Stygimoloch
23. Triceratops
24. Tyrannosaurus rex

25. Velociraptor

The hybrids, I'm not sure since it seems to focus more on the real dinos. So whether the Indominus rex, the Indoraptor, etc. would be a thing at launch or post-launch, I don't know yet. The website exclusive dinos (e.g. Edmontosaurus and Suchomimus) I'm not sure just yet. It is worth noting that the designs on websites are not owned by Universal and are just collaborations by a fellow paleoartist, I learned. It's just that Frontier decided to base 3 of their dinos on those designs.

Then of course, the two current known new dinos from the game itself:
26. Amargasaurus
27. Coelophysis

That said, I think there will be more new dino species to be revealed, and they might use at least some of the species the first game has. If they do use any of them, they might get newer designs both physically and audibly. Speaking of which...

With Dominion coming after the game's launch, I feel like I know they will do what they did before with the first game: Release new dinos via free updates to coincide with whatever show they are based on. Some of which the first game already has that will appear in Dominion itself, but may be redesigned to appropriately look just like the ones from the film, because I don't think they will use game-exclusive looks for the upcoming movie. Plus, it's for authenticity of the known film series as these games tend to focus more on.

Thus, I think these (at least the officially known ones, rumors and leaks not included) may come later after launch until Dominion comes out. Or, some of these might make it on launch already due to the preview coming later this month.

*In the first game already
1. Quetzalcoatlus
2. Oviraptor
3. Moros intrepidus
4. Lystrosaurus
5. Deinonychus
6. Giganotosaurus
7. Dreadnoughtus
8. Iguanodon

There are 67 dinos and 1 flying reptile in console JWE. Current roster gets ported into JWE2 minus all hybreds. Remember that the games focus will be on events after Fallen Kingdom, that leaves out IRex & IndoR as they are both dead. I do expect to see them as a dlc due to popularity. So that takes roster down to 62, which I figure means we are going to get 15 new species. I do expect Giga and Dyno avaible at launch, just not the JWD skins, which would be free dlc upon movie release. Confirmed New Species: Amargasaurus. Coelophysis. Mosasaurus. . That gets us to 12 remaining. I figure 4/4/4 between air/land/sea. Flying Reptiles. Quetzalcoatlus. Dimorphodon. Archaeopteryx. Male Pteranadon sternbrgi. Now we already have the male longiceps in JWE. Images from JWE2 show the JW style Pteranadon, which due to crest could be a female longiceps or sternbergi, as they are physically identical to the naked eye . Land species. Atrociraptor - feathered. Moros - feathered Oviraptor - feathered. Lystrosaurus. Marine Reptiles. Elasmosaurus. Ichthyosaurus. Archelon. Deinosuchus. this gets us to the 75+ threshold. I do not expect my land species until after Dominion release.

I think the I-Rex and Indoraptor will very likely be included because they are necessary for the alternate history mode. If there is a game mode to replay important moments in JP/JW history, the big bad from JW and JW:FK will almost certainly make an appearance. I can't imagine there isn't a JW episode in that mode, and the fall of JW without the I-Rex would be... convoluted to work around. I have a harder time picturing how they could do a movie-accurate mission on the Lockwood Estate, but if they go for it the Indo will be mandatory for the same reason. Outside the history mode, I suspect I-Rex and Indo will be late-game campaign unlocks presented in much the same fasion they were in JWE1.

I think Indominus Rex and indoraptor should be in a DLC with new hybrids. But will most likely appear in the starting roster.

We have the sixty-eight original species to begin with, and it's easy to cut off Deinonychus and Giganotosaurus for their potential Dominion appearances, so we could have up to sixty-six returning species. I don't expect we'll see them all, but I'd like to see them all come back so let's assume they are.

Amargasaurus, Mosausaurus and Coelophysis are new, and good choices, bringing us to sixty-nine species.

Dimorphodon is a pterosaur that appeared in the films explicitly and isn't included already, bringing us to seventy. This is the most sure thing for an unconfirmed species I can imagine.

(I am excluding Camp Cretaceous and Dominion species which I expect will join later as free dlc content.)

That leaves five spaces for new species, which I'm sure won't be enough; in fact, I'm certain we'll end up with a bigger roster regardless.

--

For aquatic reptiles, I would expect to see a plesiosaur, an icthyosaur and a pliosaur. I think it would also be cool to add Archelon, but that feels less likely than the four core groups. If we go further, I would like to see a smaller mosasaur, a JP:TG-inspired Tylosaurus, additional members of each previously listed group (say Plesio and Elasmo together) and maybe some nothosaurs.

For flying reptiles, I think Rhamforhynchus, which is famous in paleo circles and has a toy, is a shoe-in. Geosternbergia is a smart choice, but given it was referenced in canon as Pteranodon I'm not sure it will be viewed as a possible addition. Tapejara has appeared in merchandise a few times and is distinctive. Quetzocalactus will be Dominion content I think. The novels had Cearadactylus so I think that'd be cool to see. If we go further, I think plausible species could be a realistic Ornithocheirus or close relative, Pteradactylus, maybe Pterodaustro. Archaeopteryx or Microraptor could also use aviaries.

For more land dinosaurs, I think Concavenaor is a good choice - it has a distinctive appearance and a canon basis in Fallen Kingdom which has lead to previous merchandise. Plateosaurus would be good to appear alongside the other Triassic species. Segisaurus would complete the brochure species. I still think a large dromaeosaur would be cool. There are lots of small theropods in the toy line - like Coelurus, Ornitholestes and Alioramus - who have yet to jump to a game. We could also use a few more titanosaurs, which receive so much attention and new discoveries, and Dominion has opened the door to feathered dinos in general.

For non-dinosaurs, there is merchandise precedent for Ornithosuchus, Postosuchus and Scutosaurus, alongside the Dimetrodon that appeared in Fallen Kingdom and is expected to appear in Dominion alongside Lystrosaurus. Moschops could be fun to see.

I think that the list will include all the dinosaurs from the previous game (in addition to the three hybrids of Dr. Wu) (65) +
  • Mosasaurus
  • Ichthyosaurus
  • Plesiosaurus
  • Dimorphodon
  • Tapejara
  • Amargasaurus
  • Coelophysis
  • Plateosaurus
  • Microceratus
  • Scelidosaurus

Deluxe
  • Ornithocheirus
  • Cryolophosaurus
  • Pachyrhinosaurus
  • Тherizinosaurus
  • Protoceratops
  • Tenontosaurus
  • Liopleurodon

An additional package after some time
  • Psittacosaurus
  • Camptosaurus
  • Miragaia
  • Alioramus
  • Concavenator

Together with the release of the film
  • Quetzalcoatlus
  • Oviraptor
  • Moros
  • And others we don't know about yet

The order of their addition does not matter, the main thing, as I believe, I will not lie if I say that everyone is waiting Cryolophosaurus, Pachyrhinosaurus, Тherizinosaurus, Concavenator and Microceratus.

If Therizinosaurus isn't in this game, I'm not even gonna buy it. This dinosaur should be here no question about it.

Also Kentrosaurus and Styracosaurus, they should be in the 100% list, no dinosaur game is complete without them.

Also replace the boring Edmontosaurus with the much more needed Shantungosaurus already.

53. Metriacanthosaurus, this creature + the hybrids should be cut from the game.
