I'd like to see hats in ED. Not stupid STEAM hats like out of Team Fortress, but real wearable baseball-style billed hats. The reason? I am a space trucker now. Hauling things around is my favourite part of the game. I gained the habit in Flight Simulator, and I like flight in ED. Combat, that I find distasteful. I wish there was more to navigation that point and click: I'd like to be able to do some of the math myself. But the honest stick and rudder stuff is what brings me joy.
So why a hat? Because I use the TrackIR! I'm already wearing a hat as I play.
I'm considering ordering a Weyland Yutani company crest online ans sewing it to my TrackIR hat. If Frontier won't supply us the proper attire, that will have to do. I'm certain I'm not the only one who would wear an Elite hat.
