My Ideas Thread (Stations, Transfer Tracks, Supports, Force Combs, Testing)

Hi,
I'm new to the forum, and have a bunch of ideas but ended up making 4 threads of different ideas, so I'll condense them to one post and delete the others.
I love building roller coasters, and would love to see some of the features from NoLimits 2 brought over

Stations
I would like to see stations have the queueing like normal roller coasters with the flush gates, that would be a nice touch

Speed and G-Force Combs
I would like to see the feature of seeing the speed and g-force while editing to make the editing process easier. That way you can easily adjust your coaster to the levels you want it.

Roller Coaster Train Storage/Transfer Tracks
I would also like to see the visual add-on to have the train storage available. I am not really worried about it working, but the added visual effect for realism would be a nice touch.

Supports
The ability to set a support style would be cool. I'm not saying anything near the level of NoLimits (as most people don't want anything that in depth) but having the options to choose from a support style would be cool. That way you could choose if the supports generated would be more modern

or one of the older styles

and other types in between

Step Into Testing
For roller coaster testing, I think it would be cool to have a step into feature (kind of like coding) where you can click on a point on the roller coaster and it will test from that point on using the speeds and everything as if you had ran the whole test cycle. That way if you are working on a part at the end, you don't have to wait a minute to see the train come around into the section

Hi slippy11, welcome to the Planet Coaster Forums. Enjoy your time here with us! [big grin]

As you have condensed your ideas in this thread, I will go ahead and delete the duplicate posts as you have mentioned.

Don't forget that coasters weren't originally intended to be in Alpha 1, what we have now was extended as a courtesy and more is slated to be added later. Exactly what, at this stage, I think only Frontier knows. If everything is copied from NL2, you might as well play that instead of Planet Coaster.

Thank you

I like NL2, but I would like to see the comprehensive features brought to PC to make it a powerful roller coaster builder. NL2 is fun for making a coaster, but doesn't give you that park simulator because there are no people, no flat rides (and the ones you can import are pointless), and nothing really to do other than build a coaster. PC already has the basic custom track like NL2, so why not add some more features to make it better to make roller coaster, and ways to make coasters more realistic. The devs have focused on realism and customizability (hence all the storefront changes available), so I was just adding some more ways to customize coasters

+1 to gates on coaster stations.

I know they are under construction right now, but the coaster stations aren't too realistic at the moment.

I'd also like to see the platform width increase slightly, as right now you have one wide platform side and one very narrow platform side. It makes me sad to see people on YouTube constantly place their entrances and exits on the narrow side, which looks to be about only 1 metre/3 feet wide. It's not safe for peeps to walk on that next to the track.
