My Jump distance is poor compared to coriolis, my ship is from years ago, help please

You're probably right, I remember doing engineering back when the little slider bars moved back and forth and landed wherever. I remember re-rolling for better rolls, not sure how good it is. Can I just upgrade the module with the new system, will it over write the old stuff?

Conversion will take it from old G5 to new G4 and lose the special effect, you will want the Mass Manager effect for that size FSD.

Drank the A-rated kool-aid, eh?
I’d recommend experimenting on Coriolis to figure out the best configuration. Don’t be afraid to downsize modules either.

Here is your 50Ly clipper. But I doubt you'll want to fly it.
At least I would not advise: mostly because it is very fragile. If the jump range does matter - probably you would like to check other ships with the same approach and get more Lyears.

That would be probably me. Right now I'm exploring in 52 LYs jumping Clipper. Stock E-rated has only 8 LYs or so, mine is built for exploration and I have put:
- A-rated FSD
- G5 increased range FSD engineering
- 4H guardian FSD booster
- D-rated other stuff
- downgraded PP and PD
- overcharged PP engineering
- lightweight engineering (G-1 only) where I could apply it

I believe I could push my build close to 60 but I don't have access to Engineers that provide wanted engineering plans. Mine build is rather extreme example but re-engineering FSD under new rules should give you anything between 30 and 40 LYs of range, depending on the rest of the stuff you have.

Mine is similar only I kept the A grade thrusters and engineered them for speed. The Clipper is one of the fastest ships out there and I wanted to take advantage of that.

Even so, she's still up to 48.3LY unladen. Not everything is maxed out engineering wise but the FSD certainly is.

Given that back in the day I went to Sag A* in an A graded pre-engineers Asp with only 27.4LY range, the Clipper is more than enough for me. :)

It looks good in Grade 5 engineered paint:
