My Keelback Build

If you're going to run shieldless, you might as well get rid of the weapons. The armour of the keelback alone won't really keep you alive long enough to actually do any fighting.
 
I tend to use the weapons to disable base defences before landing my SRV. And interestingly, my NPC co-pilot is very effective in the Keelback whilst I deploy in the fighter.
 
If your keeping the weapons, wouldn't a c2 mc and 2xc1 missles banks be better. C2 missles not being any stronger than the c1...right?

Are you planning on combat? If so you may need some HRP modules rather than srv and disco scanner.

I'm not sure I'd trust my npc pilot to fly the mothership unshielded.

So are you using the fighter as a distraction or are going to try and kill things.

If just a distraction you will be fine, but for real combat you will struggle.

Combat is kinda as a last resort. My main aim is to carry out a variety of missions, and just be able to defend myself if an enemy kicks off.
