CMDR: Hi I was wondering if you could fix my ship?

STATION SERVICES: Certainly commander all you need to do is press “repair all” in your HUD.

CMDR:Really?

STATION SERVICES: Really just press it and it’s all done.

CMDR: Wow thanks for that (click) all repaired nice to know everything is in tip top shape ”ALL REPAIRED” so to speak.

STATION SERVICES: cough yes commander good to go - you may want to check your integrity though it’s a bit low.

CMDR: My integrity?

STATION SERVICES: yes your integrity is low but we in the repair section don’t deal with it you will have to go into the repair menu and look for integrity there oh and watch out the prices vary allot...

CMDR: You mean even though I just “repaired all” you have issues with my integrity what the hell are you on abouCLICK

STATION SERVICES: integrity section how can we help?

CMDR: UM apparently I have low integrity and it needs to get sorted?

STATION SERVICES: You have come to the right place! I see your integrity is at 96% and today given we just had the universe patched we have a special on clipper integrity at 222k per percent so for a measly 888k we will fix you right up!

CMDR: 888k? Patched universe? What the? How much would it have cost before the universe patch?

STATION SERVICES:Well commander about a tenth of that. But it’s hard to say as it changes allot with the patches and all.

CMDR: A tenth? Sounds more reasonable doesn’t it? Will the universe be patched again soon?

STATION SERVICES: Not likely commander but we may just have a “hot fix” instead.

CMDR: A hot fix? When will that happen and what will it mean?

STATION SERVICES: very soon I think but can’t really say...

CMDR: Ok um maybe I’ll leave my integrity for now and come back after some kind of universe altering event..thanks for confusing me by the way. (click)

STATION SERVICES: Did you hear that guy? What a plonker!- just had a universe altering experience and was carrying on about costs to his ship.....

What? Those conversations are recorded? Ooooops.
Things have really gone downhill since they lowered the minimum age requirement for Station Service career positions to 12.

Because like many things it is not implemented properly.
The idea was that as integrity decreases then the incidence of random systems failures would increase. Which would be good.
In addition it was supposed to be cheaper to maintain high integrity (frequent small payments) instead of waiting (one much larger payment). Which would also be good.

What we actually have is a dumbed down version (doesn't in fact do anything, its just a credit sink). Sigh.
