Right, with that out of the way, I wanted to ask a simple question or two.

1) What rank to passenger missions count towards?

2) Does selling on the black market contribute towards trade rank?

3) What rank does turning in escape pods count towards?

I'm asking these because I haven't played in months, I've wiped save with a new name, and I simply don't remember the answers to these questions.

My goal is to hit trade Elite with nothing but a Sidewinder and later a Cobra.

As such these are all important questions for me.

Sightseeing missions count towards Explorer rank, others towards Trade - made Trade Elite myself in the glory days of long-supercruise bulk passenger hauling. Can't answer the other two, sorry.

I like the idea of playing only in a Cobra, but I'd miss the variety of different ships. Perhaps a compromise would be to use only ships that appeared in the original Elite?

Trade rank: Steal it and then sell it. As I believe that rank is equated with percentage of profit.
