My last SRV has gone missing!?! Out doing the Guardian thing, so FRUSTRATING!

I lost my first SRV to the Guardian Sentinels but I brought two with me, I parked up/docked at my ship then went off for around 5-10 minutes and when I came back low and behold my SRV has gone.
I am a long way out of the bubble so its not a quick fix and I still have a lot of blue prints to collect, all I want to do is go hunt some Thargiods but I am beginning to wonder whether it is worth it.
You have to invest so much time just to partake in one aspect of the game, I feel like I am having the games lore forced feed to me and i'm not enjoying it now this?

A few comments....

Never self-destruct if there is an alternative (personal opinion)

You installed two hangars, but did you take two SRVs?

You can synthesize repairs in a SRV, so can do with one, as long as you have the basic mats needed to repair.

Yeah I brought two SRV's with me, I have tried to do a system reboot but no luck. I have logged out then back in again and also no luck.
Think I might just bite the bullet and gun it back to the bubble to get replacement buggies.
