Elite / Frontier "My Life with Elite" - Weds 28th

All will be revealed. Soon. ;)

You can't say that!!! Revealed by you? By Frontier? Do you mean THE question (well, the other one, after the one about life, the universe and everything) of a release date?
To quote mission control, "you've got a whole bunch of guys about to turn blue here"

Steve! how could you? You've not got a job at frontier and had to sigh the official secrects act??

I really shouldn't have said that, should I?

Nothing about Elite 4, folks.

I mentioned the subject to Liquilla and he just smiled and shook his head.

I didn't broach the subject with David Braben either, guess I was just tongue tied. Shook his hand though and got his autograph on my Cobra Mk III origami sheet. Nice guy too, as was Ian Bell (though they still don't seem to be on speaking terms )

Nevermind Steve, it was a forlorn hope anyways. Hope you had fun and meeting DB and Ian Bell too, Great!

Just shaken hands with Ian Bell :)

Hi Steve, I think I was sat just behind you with my wife.

Was a good talk and really nice to see all the guys behind Elite and some of its conversions in the same room.

I thought the presentation could have been a bit slicker for the introduction. It also looked like they used the C64 version of Elite for their intro with it's dodgy and flickery vector graphics.

Was that you kicking my chair then? :p Actually, I pounced on Ian around lunchtime in the origami tent, to his obvious horror. I got to speak to him again when he signed my origami sheet after the show.

Yeah, I wondered about that as well. As the whole focus was on 1984 etc etc, they should really have used the BBC version, which was definitely less flickery.
