Ships my loadout

You have power to spare...

Put in A5 thrusters for better mobility
A class FSD for better jump range
How about fuel scoop, or you plan on stoping every 4-5 jumps to refuel?
Beam lasers overheat quickly resulting in low DPS.

5a thrusters are for ships weighing 840t optimum and 1260t max. Mine only weighs 342 max, so you gain nothing for the power it uses. I don't think any class 5 thrusters are need for a vulture unless you start adding lots of armor and increase the mass massively.

the fsd and lack of fuel scoop is a trade off. Yup i do have to refuel on long journeys but i don't have to deal with the added complication of disabling fsd in battle to get power to where its really needed.

I've been running gimballed beams for a while now and I've got so used to managing them, but if i can find some suitable big pulses then im going to try those.

Thrusters seem to dictate the max speeds, regardless of the optimums. I regard A-rated, max-class thrusters as compulsory on basically any combat ship.

Dunno about 4D but even 5D is not good enough for decent PvP fight. I'm running 5A now and would never go back to anything less.

Completely agree. When you're mass locked by a Clipper, 390 is hard enough to escape with, but at 340, well you can forget it.

You are in a Vulture... why are you running?

Damn right, My Vulture is called "The Mongoose" because it eats all kinds of snakes including the Imperial Clipper Snake and the Federal Drop Snake* as well as Anacondas and Pythons.

Any Vulture that has to run away from a Clipper unless it already has heavy damage is clearly badly fitted, a Vulture should be able to munch Clippers non-stop without taking any significant damage at all.

That's regarding PvE, the loadout for a PvP may have different priorities.

* Hunts in the same manner as the Australian Drop Bear
