My Main Concern with ED

ED is not EvE, will not have the same griefer aspects as EvE, and just won't ever be EvE.

This is true because ED is only a self proclaimed MMO and is not a actual MMO. It's more a Demon Soul concept where you play the game alone but from time to time can run into other players, which is by no means a MMO. I'll consider ED to be a MMO when you can group up and fly wing to wing with other players and all get credit without the game fighting you every step of the way to properly group out with others. Also when players can trade with other players with is another very basic concept of almost every MMO out in the market. So yes ED will never be like Eve and is only self proclaimed to be in the same genre as Eve -MMO- as this is by any MMO standard not such. This is a "Massive Singleplayer Onine" game with very little multiplayer support.

Utter nonsence there are many types of multiplayer games elite IS multiplayer to say it isn't is just silly. Does it need work? Sure but it is happening.... And as for MMO whilst it may not meet the generic mmo criteria that seems to be the norm does not mean that it isn't an mmo of some description.

Its massive its multiplayer and its online. Why can't people take some responsibility for doing even a little bit of homework before buying a product is beyond me

Since this isn't EvE I'm not worried.

I am worried however that pilots will be jumping out of their cockpits yelling "Fur Ro Dah" at one another... oh wait... this isn't Skyrim either.

I disagree, the moderators/programmers are turning it into EVE all over again by having no reasonable consequences.

Been playing about 6 hours tonight "I rarely get time off to do this." I have been jumped 4 times, 2 Anaconda's, A tricked out Viper and the last one was an ASP. All near Barnard s Star, not an anarchy place. I am getting very upset with the lack of consequences against these people. I am flying a slightly upgraded "Power plant and Power Distribution module" Eagle. It is no longer fun to work for hours to build up some cash and then have these jerks force you to spend it on insurance. Pound for pound I can take these Griefs, but they cheat by coming in in heavy tricked out ships, interdict you and crush you.

I hate the mentality of players that do this personally I would never in good conscience act such a way.... But it is fair enough in all. If it is winding you up the beauty of the size of elite is you can branch out. In 40hrs or more not once I have been attached by a human. If that is not enough there is the Möbius group or solo. Psychopaths hate it but that fact is elite gives you all the tools to dodge them
