As I have been exploring the game, I came across a number of small things that I thought "why isn't it a thing?", and I started noting them down. These are mixture of functional, visual and immersion suggestions in no particular order:
And some more far-fetched wishes:
- a new, small tactical FC for wing use (4 pads (1xL, 3xM) ,short range but fast spool up time).
- ability to fill tritium depot directly from carrier cargo
- edit: maybe add a module that increases tritium fuel tank
- ability so see how many player ships are stored on your carrier overall, including your own
- ability to see how many players are currently online at your carrier (in any instance or game mode)
- ability to see the names of landed commanders in the same game mode and instance as you
- a new flight crew or module slot that could pilot carrier to destination - maybe taking twice as long for a jump to spool, or maybe longer cooldown, or both. Maybe require some on-foot materials per jump.
- ability to store your exploration data on FC without turning it in so that you can be more careless while exploring
- position FC toward hyperjump target as a part of countdown (like you have to position your ship before warp) - it would add "life" to them
- A module to increase jump range at cost of having to pay extra tritium, or additional "fuel" to use it - also it would take module space reducing cargo. Also much longer jump timer.
- A module that allows the ships departing from FC to have first hyperspace jump "supercharged" like from the neutron star. It would require space, and maybe resources.

- FC jump button in NORMAL galaxy map
- Keep me in the galaxy screen when the destination slot is unavailable
- more customisation options - new paints, and layouts, new voice
- prevent your carrier from issuing pad obstruction warnings to you, as the commander of it
- prevent your carrier firing at you at all.
- allow you to set your preferred docking pad for S/M/L ship
- an in-ship or on-foot button "recall my carrier" that would jump it to your current location (or nearest spot) #
- add spotlights (like the ones inside of some space stations) to exterior of the carrier
- ability to use character's free camera inside the FC during the hyperspace jump (without interruption if you were in freecam before jump)
- ability to use free camera somehow to go outside of the carrier (like with the ships)
- ability to position the FC (roll / yaw / pitch) manually (for
sciencevideos) - ability for the carrier to do the D-scan and scan on your behalf upon arriving in a system (you get the credit)
- ability for a APEX interstellar to take you to/from a carrier - and while
- improved animations for ship ascend - currently if many ships rise to surface at the same time it's 5fps animation while game otherwise runs normally (over 100fps)
- Like you have FC services systems - add an option to them for FC refilling station status - so that players in these system can do mission to refill FC with tritium. That way its easy for players on both sides to both show that you need tritium, and find refill targets - all while adding a bit of immersion.
- add crashed Fleet carrier POI on a planet surface or destroyed one in space
