Yeah I agree with that it doesn't feel like a Rollercoaster Tycoon game.

It's not necessarily bad, because at some point we need to move forward. The positive is that since it's a unity based game it looks and feels just like cities skylines. I'm on sure whether this is a good or bad thing, but it's what I would of expected considering I've already played a Unity based game. This overall kind of got rid of all the surprises that I was expecting. Again, I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing.

Maybe what it does do. Is that it gets rid of its uniqueness.

The more I look at it, the more I think It's a bad thing. The colouring from Unity seems so washed out compared the previous 3, even compared to PC with its vibrant colours - I think you can be realistic, but still have amazing character. When I think about SimCity's style, compared to Skylines, I miss the charm of it, the fun side. The more I think about it, the less real looks I want. I want real game play, great graphics, but a nicer brighter style. I wanted an elevated version of SimCity, I got that, but with crappy gameplay.

With RCT, I wanted the same, but we've not even seen the gameplay element yet - That's super worrying with 4 weeks to go. What if the gameplay is just static and monotone. How do we get that feedback to them and it implemented before release..

I hate to say it, but as the days go on, I'm moving more over to this game (because I know they're listening and have to design the game people actually want) because I think Atari are will be releasing a less than basic game. Too many questions about the actual game and zero answers. Too many issues with the coaster builder and absolutely zero effort to say "You know what, you're right, lets let everyone test this until release, we want it perfect for you guys" - Nothing. [down]

I agree that the communication is very very bad.

No one to listen, no one to answer (or some random reply, time by time), it's like they just dont give a s*** about us, and what we are saying. I'm 99% sure they dont even take notes suggestions/ideas to talk about it in meetings. And about claims ? "The Number you are calling is not assigned"

It's like Atari say to us "we have a strategy, we have a product specification, we follow it to the end. If you want to make suggestion to the devs ? Well, just talk to my hand".
So why ask us to make suggestions on what the community expects of the game ? [mad]

It's terribly irritating and frustrating to spend time on something, and to have nothing in return.

I also have both. I was planning to play RCTW till PC comes out. I only have a feeling that RCTW won't be around that long and i am concerned if the features they plan to release after launch will ever make it into the game. I am waiting for the next PC dev blog or the next teasing image/gif about the other features in PC.

If RCTW can pull through its shaky beta and really use their delay to fix the game proper, than it may end up pretty good. But I think at this point it could never be great. Planet Coaster so far looks really promising and has a huge amount of potential, and already has a better visual style. We will have to wait and see but im putting my hopes on Planet Coaster to really be the next gen theme park simulator we need.
