My name is Rudi and I am addicted to NS...

... and of course to the "inhabited" ones...

I have to crawl every jet I can get even beyond safety limits!

please share your experiences with me,
what was your best boost, your cutest charge ?! ;)

(and more seriously now)
do you have by any chance found a landable planet in sight of a NS with its jets ?!

I posted this one of a ringed NS in my ramblings thread a couple of days back (over here)

Yesterday, I also came across this - though I decided against supercharging in it...

No landable planets in sight of jets yet though - I've also been searching!

awesome shots, thx for sharing! :)
just a moment ago I found a landable just 200 Ls from the NS, and I would swear I was able to see two or three pixels of the jets ;)

Can't remember the name, but the lone landable in the Sirius system is fairly close. I don't know about from the planet's surface, per se, but the jets are clearly visible from the station that orbits that planet.

No idea if it's possible for you to take a look in the near future, but it should fit your criteria.

I thought this is a regulary disconnection bug, no matter where you are.
Ntl, of course this is a critical one if you are in a Neutron system that moment :(

To be honest,
although I knew this, I wasnt able to stop supercharging, even with 75k Ly data on board...

it's just too much fun if you want to reach a target, compared to the usual jonking :)
(and my ED doesnt crash more than once a week, so hopefully will do now while mining and doing missions :D)

@MrMailFactory: will for sure check your suggestion when I'm back in the bubble, thx! :)

I crash at least once a day. And I have over 14 thousand systems scanned on board.
Plus 84 ElW's.
Yeah I'll be waiting till it's fixed.

Very nice! I also came across a close pair of neutron stars (It's hard to tell from the pic, but their cones intersected at the ends):

I did risk supercharging and escaped to tell the tale!

No connection errors for me for a while now.

I absolutely do like them, thx for sharing...
(Just able to vRep you, sry)

And glad to see you are still exploring the black brown out there...
You sounded a little demoralized in your last posts about this funny faction fiddling CG ;)

There's a good reason there aren't any planets in my screenshots lately :) When they change black holes into brown holes ([uhh]) that'll be curtains for me.

And yeah ... I'll be an interested spectator with regard to the faction fiddling.

@Rudi Raumkraut: I've been avoiding Neutron stars due to the disconnect bug, but your post inspired me to try out a boosted jump.
1st one was pretty easy, 211ly, woohoo! I've got to try that again.
2nd one was a bit of a battle to steer away from the star, but I managed it.
I think I'll leave the Neutron surfing to the braver explorers out there. :D

I slip into the Jet with 25℅ throttle where the Color switches from Blue to purple , stop with first Message and full throttle when the fsd is charged, away from the Ns...
Don't know if thats the best way to do it, Just worked fine for me so far...

And it was much easier to stay on target with the Conda compared to the Courier I'm trying now, so I think mass is helping, as both are with minimal thrusters...

Oh, and lets wait how I handle my first disconnect in a jet to see if it's brave or just silly ;)
