My new Asp has the Vulcan Howl.

Interestingly enough I was thinking about the ship engine sounds (Vulture and Asp are my favourites so far) and was considering asking if anyone knew if the sounds were sampled or original. (And if sampled, what was used.)

Sounds even cooler when it's about 50-100' over your head going in on a gun run on targets you're lasing.
And then you realize you never want that to happen again.
The Vulcan looks like it has the flight characteristics of a brick.

That delta wing is an amazing thing.

I'v flown real bricks- F-4D's, to be exact. The Double Ugly does not last long after ingesting turkey buzzards (not me, happened to 66-612 over the Glades) They do not glide well. Martin-Baker seat time.

You do know that if you have a officially recorded "Martin-Baker Seat Time" (lol) you can buy a special watch to show that, right?
Closest I came to crashing was flying with the Puerto Rican Air National Guard trying to land in heavy fog at Ramstein.

LOL I wish the multicannons has the same sound as the GAU-8 on the A-10. Wouldn't that be a trip? 6 of those things rocking and rolling at once?

We'd probably go deaf if we were wearing headphones. LOL

I don't know what the GAU-8 sounds like from the cockpit but from the ground it sounds like a very satisfying fart. One that relieves your bowels and scratches your bum at the same time.

Hold the phone! Do you mean the big gattler or the batwing v-bomber?

Fly to the back of the station, zero speed then fly through the exit constantly increasing and decreasing speed, its great. One day I will get a fine from the locals.

The nose gun on the Warthog. I've only heard them from the ground, so I can only imagine what they sound like when they're growling right under your feet. I've seen some video of them mounted on brackets at ground level, and they sound pretty darn loud.

When the Asp's decellerating I always think it sounds like a WW2 DeHavilland Mosquito at full roar. It's one of the reasons I keep flying it, actually. :)

If the Asp sounds like this, I'm buying one immediately...

They would need about two orders of magnitude greater rate of fire to justify such a sound. While the computer could replace the current sound with whatever, I do find utility in having the sound match fire rate.

Isn't that the sound they use for the Heavy Arms Gundam's chest-mounted twin-gatling-guns in Gundam Wing? ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljXFL4dyDIk around 0:29)

EDIT: And WOW, 20 years since Gundam Wing's debut. I feel old.
