Horizons My new FED GUNSHIP.Hull at 0% and still alive. How did I do that?

Bought the gunship to try out. Got the hull boost and the module protection for the military slots. Got some engineering 17-18 LY jump dirty drives power and distributor mods. Took it out bounty hunting for a shake down flight. Made some dumb moves until I got used to it. Got tangled up with a wing of three wanted Clippers and I attacked one and all H broke loose I even ended up with a bounty from my friendly fire. I did get one of them and one of the others hit me hard and took out my shields. Then I heard hull critical message. There was no cracked cockpit so I kept fighting but broke off to recharge my shield then went back in and noticed my hull was at 0%. 0% how am I still alive? Then I got scanned and since I had a wanted flag I hit the boost and jumped away. I waited a few min for the bounty to expire then jumped to another system and back and docked at a station to collect my bounties and get repairs. The repair slider was just under half to repair all. I expected a lot more damage with the Hull at 0%. Module damages ranged from 60% to 98% My module protection package was at 40%. So the question I have is nothing failed but the hull was at 0%. Was the hull reinforcement package holding the ship together? If so how do you know how much damage that takes?

For all practices and purposes, you should have blown up. That being said, if you have 2300 Hull Integrity like me on your Gunship from modding your hull reinforcement packages and armor that your ship still had 20 HP left, respectively, so even though you were at 0%, your hull was not completely destroyed and the marginal integrity remaining sufficed to enable you to continue flying, land and repair. I have seen NPC ships from time to time regain shields at 0% hull and continue flying and fighting until their shields are wiped out again for the kill shot. Otherwise, it could be a bug, after all, the game is not exactly, bug free. If so, a bug that does not make life in the game frustrating... sounds like the type of bug worth buzzing about to me. Fly safe.
