My New Vulture -

This is my first video I've uploaded to the forum. It's just under 8 mins long and captures my new vulture performing in a RES site.

It shows the destruction of 7 wanted ships for a total bounty of just over 1/2 million credits.

Didn't have to alter pips during the encounters. Kept four pips in weapons, and one each in systems and engines. I had to use engine boost just the once.

The KWS was used each time, and has paid for itself over and over.

I targeted the power plant on all the ships, except the viper.

Had to fire chaff three times, but didn't have to use any shield cells.

Came close to getting my own bounty twice.

I love my vulture. Goes to show that RES locations can be a gold mine, and two C3 gimballed pulse lasers are all the fire power you need.

Fly safe Commanders.

Glad you got a good spawn.

Class 3 gimballed pulse perform well. Very close to the beams over time. The main advantage being able to run top rated shields and 3 x A rated shield boosters and have a kws on hard points.

It's so manoeuvrabile you don't need better than D rated thrusters for most enemies. You won't ever need shield cells. I don't bother with chaff either but sometimes regret it. I pack repair units instead :)

Edit: 1x pulse and 1x beam work well too, just need a little mabagement. You'll have to use both triggers then. ;)

I love the A rated thrusters and would never go back to D.

Is that you're pc that can't cope when it makes that horrible noise.?

Good vid though. First of many i hope. But highlights how they need to fix the system. With those ai doing so much damage toy should get a shared bounty rather than all. Looks a bit broken to me.

I'm loving the C3G beam + C3G cannon, the beam merrily slices its way through pretty much anything Cobra and smaller whereas the cannon punches gaping holes through the sub systems of the bigger ships. I get plenty of fire time with the beam since there is only the 1 and the heat is more than manageable, the only reason I have a heatsink on there is when I need to sneak into a station with something I probably shouldn't have.

Vulture is basically autopilot for bounty hunters.
No energy management, no worry about your shields going down, no worry about running out of ammo.

Some might call this "fun".
I say it's boring. But whatever floats your boat!

Haters gonna hate.

Disagree. In a good RES with only big ships and fast spawn rate, the Vulture's low shield recharge rate will eventually have you using SCBs just to avoid having to sit out of combat for a long time waiting on the shields to trickle up.

My PC spec is quite good. I have:-
Win 7 Pro 64bit
Intel i7-4790@4GHz
RAM 16gb
GeForce GTX 970

I use the optimized ED game settings in GeForce Experience.
The stuttering seems to happen when I am up close and the action is "intense"

I agree that the bounty awarded should be a %age of the damage you inflict.

And I totally disagree with the last idea. I liked how it was during Alpha and Beta testing when the one who delivered the killing blow got the bounty. It is too easy now as NPCs can't steal the kills.

I do enjoy my vulture in RES and conflict zones, and with the recent Volungu event it has paid itself several times (reached the 7.5M reward).

If you're in for the bounty farming, double G3 pulse is the way to go, with the 5A distributor and 4 pips to weapons you pretty much shoot nonstop. It's hard to find a ship that lives long enough for you to wait for weapon cooldown. I would pack a cannon but I find the need to refill ammo every once in a while pretty annoying. I'm open for a better hardpoint setup. I'm not a PvP guy though.

You do need shield cells, I've seen myself receiving a bit too much damage in conflict zones and the shields might go down.

This is my setup, using pretty much 100% power with hardpoints deployed, with FSD, FSD Interdictor, Cargo Hatch and Fuel Scoop at the lowest priority and thus turned off:

yep. I'm also raking in the credits at RES with my Vulture as well. Made more in the last few days with it than i did the last few months with a Cobra!

Only packing D2 gimballed beams but they still wreck a power plant in no time. I have no upgraded shields our counter measures either.

Disagree. If i do 80% of the damage then i want payment in full. I don't want some have a go hero eating into my profits!

I Wonder how noticible will be Vulture nerf in 1.3 in crossplatform beta that is now, it have 1"bar" less in maneuverability and 10 less shields if recall well on shipyard chart.

It's not the low recharge rate, it's the standard recharge rate for shields. It's a 'symptom' of the gigantic shields it has - as the rate is the same, it takes longer to recharge.

If you wait the same time, you would have regenerated as much shield as a Viper has.

I'm going to agree with the above ^. I have a vulture and I use 2 fixed C3 beams. The reason being with gimballed weapons I just find it a bit dull, the Vulture is a wrecking ball of a ship and I like the challenge of using fixed weapons and having to do a bit of energy management to stop the thing overheating and manually hit the systems (yes I know there's a small amount of gimbal on fixed weapons). I also tend to go to high intensity war zones for a real challenge as the pilots tend to have higher rankings.
