My newest masterpiece continues to crash via Geoforce NOW

Hi friends!

I've been working on this spectacular zoo but I am dealing with some serious issues now that I am 5k+ guests. I'll start the game and play for a few minutes. It'll then crash and I will get this "Planet Zoo Crash Reporter" error message for a second or two and then it disappears. It goes away so quickly I had to do a screen recording of the game crashing so I could take a screenshot. This was happening occasionally the last week or so but now I can't play at all. I can open other saved zoos and start new ones.

I am using a 2023 Macbook Pro and streaming via Steam/ Geoforce Now Unlimited. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling both NVIDIA and Steam multiple times. It doesn't seem to help. I've seen multiple threads about this happening on PCs but so far no troubleshooting advice with folks using Macbook Pro's and streaming via Geoforce NOW.

Any tips on how to fix this? I'll be so sad if I need to abandon this Zoo and start another one :(

Im definitely not an expert but if it's crashing every time it must be too much for your computer, I imagine? There are few tricks you can try to make it lighter without compromising your project. But maybe you've already tried them?

Here is what I know:
One of the things you can do to make your zoo less heavy for your computer is limiting the amount of guests to for example 2000. You can do that in each mode except for career.

Also, whenever you don't need the trees to be climbable, turn off the climbing on them. Basically how I do it is I select the whole park, turn off the climbing everywhere and then manually turn it on for objects meant for climbing.

Changing the graphics to lower quality may also help a bit but I think of it as a last resort thing.

5k+ guests is heavy enough even for dedicated gaming pcs to start struggling in detailed or busy areas across the zoo. Some people with lower end pcs would crash anyway because of the performance strain of calculating so many guests and likely a large enough zoo on top of that. My main suggestion is (if it's a franchise zoo) to turn it into a sandbox zoo and cut the guests by a large amount. From 5k to 1-2k will really help performance and reduce the likelihood of crashing.

Yeah, my gaming laptop is ok and I make sure to play sandbox so I can have guests off. On top of that make sure to set almost everything to climbing disabled! I also had to turn my graphics settings down a bit.
