MY next ship?

hello

I have an Asp now that's maxed out. i would like to try some new, i am a combat person mostly.
i am worth about 50 mill. witch leaves me aways from a python. whats better than the asp?

if you buy a second ship. the port were you buy it. this your ships home for evermore right. you cant change were your ships are docked?

this game needs more ships!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks

Speaking strictly from a PvE experience,

The Vulture is a nice ship for combat, comes with twin Class 3 hardpoints and has very good agility second to the Eagle. As for home-port, you can move the ships around by buying something like a hauler and going there and switching out.

If you want full on profit for your combat then I would go for the Vulture. It kills Anacondas and pythons in under 15 seconds with the right setup. I wouldn't call it an upgrade from your ASP in anything other than Combat though.

Other than that the Diamondback looks interesting when it comes out in 1.3 or you could just save up for a Python. If you are aligned with the Empire then I hear the Clipper is a good ship *Insert obligatory insult to Empire here* or you could go for the Dropship *Insert amazing compliment to Federation here*.

If I were in your position I would just save up for the Python, you're close enough to it now that you may as well go for that last push.

Imperial Clipper FTW. It's very good for PvE. It's not as power limited as a Vulture and is really fast. Very fun to fly.

If your talking pve money making combat its the vulture all day I'd say.

The next logical step is the Clipper, it's a great ship. Ranking up to Baron in the Empire does take a bit of work but hey.
Only problem is needing large landing pads.
The Vulture is better for combat it's true, but that's all it's good for.

As for your home station question, no. You will have to buy a cheap ship from where you want to be and go collect your other ship, selling the cheap one back as you do.

The Courier is coming which looks to be like a direct upgrade of the Eagle so if you like that style you could hold out for one of those and probably afford all B or A upgrades. The Clipper looks super sweet and has a great powerplant. I'm considering dumping my Asp for a Clipper and buying back a B/A Cobra because it's so well rounded, fast and cheap to replace. I guess I'll have to wait and see how the Diamondback is before making any big decisions.

"I am worth about 50 mill."

Writes a 50 Mil Credit Check and hands it over*

Here, now become my servant and earn me that 50 Mil back within 3 days or I'll jettison you into space as a canister.

On a serious note, Vulture is a good choice if you are looking for combat, only takes about 20 mil to outfit.

If you want to have an upgrade to your multi-purpose ship, wait for the Python, which is about 140-160 mil fully outfitted. Or if you don't mind weapon convergence and paper-thin shields, go for a clipper. That outfitting goes anywhere around 80 mil to 120 mil, though.
