Odyssey launch caught me 6k LY away from the bubble in a small area of nondescript space halfway to Achilles' Altar region.
I like it here. It's mostly undiscovered, with only ~1/10 systems actually touched by anyone before me. Numerous terraformable worlds, one cool system I found with 5 high-value planets including a water world with a water world moon. Most importantly - no civilization anywhere nearby. The nearest station is 4k LY away or some such number, definitely nowhere within 2k LY.
In Horizons, this area was void of life. I think I found one biological signal somewhere, but it was just some shrooms.
No humans, obviously.
And that felt right.
Odyssey hits, I log in and BAM - signals on every bloody landable rock in space.
Wreckages, Impact sites, Artificial structures, Power Sources, Signals with no name at all - all turn out to be some generic traces of human activity and/or residence.
The worlds that should not have seen a hooman from lightyears away are literally littered with signs of human presence.
Some weird houses that look like Luke's Uncle's tatooine hideout, guarded by skimmers.
Crashed DBX guarded by skimmers (seriously??? can I fly around with skimmers in my cargo hold too???).
Crashed probe that looks like voyager with some covert agent data on board that supposedly still has value, thousands of lightyears away from any civilization, on a signal with threat 1/2 that ends up having no threat at all (unlike other signals where you at least get skimmers lol).
Some shining sticks that look like antenna on something that looks like a power plant, guarded by skimmers.
None of it engaging in any way, no structures can be entered, no real content beyond some generic doodads and a datapoint to scan for some generic data for sale.
Some structures even have non-functional doors erratically placed half-underground with texture issues (see below)
I used to feel like an explorer, a pioneer, discovering new worlds unseen by human eye before.
Now I feel like a dog looking for bones in some random dude's backyard.
Immersion... gone.
