my opinion of space legs...

instead of this bogus idea of letting us walk around our ships... why cant we have a commutal space within each station (or say, 1 per system with a station). not too unlike Playstation Home was... just a station within each system... not just walking around where no one else can see... plus side: u can sell us clothes, and or use it to sell advertisement space!

To each their own, but that does not sound at all fun, entertaining or engaging to me. If it was a paid DLC that was just that, I would not buy it.

At this point I'm doubtful that we'll ever really get space legs. Honestly, what are we going to be able to do when we get it? We got planetary landings a long time ago and the content for that has barely changed since then. Still the same single SRV, the same base 'raid' missions.

Space legs is practically an entirely new video game and I'm not confident that Frontier would be able to deliver on it with enough content to make us happy.

This. As it is likely to be a paid for DLC it needs to have some good gameplay that goes with it.

Not just walk around a ship or walk around a place in a station to buy stuff.

Frontier definitely has the skill to do it, I just don't think it'll happen in ED. Looking at all the dev comments, it's gone from "definitely something we're planning for", to "it would be cool, but no guarantee no eta" to "stop asking about it".
It's never going to happen as a part of the main game, there is a very slim chance it'll appear as a cqc style "bolt on" where they shoehorn some separate game as a main menu option (who knows, maybe they'll turn a permit locked area into a mini planet coaster where pilots have a licence to build their own dinosaur filled base... I'm out on a limb here lol).
Space legs in ED ain't gonna happen though. Much as I love the game, I don't think they've left themselves much wiggle room for future development.

Excuse the White Knighting, but Gurdian, and Thargoid bases, Also Barnicles, volcanic and plant life features. Granted the game mechanics have not changed that much - which may be what you mean by content, in which case absolutely true.

As for the quanity of content for space legs, I totally agree - as in other MMOs - some people eat the new contents for a release in a few days, and then get bored. It may even be slightly worst in ED. I clearly am a slow coach, still got all the alien stuff to get involved in, oh and megaships, and the new NPC piracy (I see you Private Contractor).

Cheers
Simon
