yes I have noticed changes to the galaxy map. and the targets for destinations in space ect are also not orange but blue in my case.

This is exactly what put me off doing it. I really like and prefer the new colour schemes too but I found it ruined the Galaxy map 
If anyone has a DK2, this colour scheme makes the text so easy to read, a BIG difference, and enemies are still red:

That's nice. What're the matrix numbers for that?

And notice how the one change only in the bottom row (matrixblue) changes the red shield rings and landing pad notice from red to yellow.
Much better as with the red it was blurry and hard to read. this one is now crisp and easy to read. Just one little number change .lol
the blue red is

I cannot find the config file anywhere wither in the FRONTIER folder And I do not even have a c:\Users\Username\appdata folder (I take it username is the username I picked for Elite) I only have Colin as username and no folder called appdata.
