General My personnal good idea to rebalanced activity!

07
Hi commanders and devellopers. I don't come in this forum very often... at least 1 came here 1 time just to pole about ship transfer :) ^^
But I saw that you , at FD, seems aware that your game isn't balanced risk/credits. I'm agree for that but at some point. Let's dive into my suggestion:

Q: Is combat lucrative enought?

_If you find the good place to fight you'll be abble to gain like 20 000k credits, for half an hour, with missions. As I played mostly bounty hunters I swear I had a good curve to upgrade ship and rank... My priority was always "kill/rep+++++" or "destroy x ships of whatever faction" for tons of credits. I can't say it was unfair and unbalanced. It was long but that's all.
A: I think yes

Q: Is trading OP?

_ After a while I bought some ship to test them and finally run out of money (less than 10 000k and nothing but an imp eagle in storage). I did what a lot of us did. Took stuff to station A and go to station B then buy stuff in B and then go A etc... boring... and during the first couple of my trip I was like " omg! I hope I won't be interdicted...gasp..." it never happen. and I did trading for days enought to buy a T9 and then a krait mk2 and every A modules. No pain, No risk, No satisfaction pure waste of time but good gain of credits.
A: It is too easy

q: So...what could be changed?

a: Let's imagine that when you trade you are working for the lead faction you bought stuffs. you probably increase influence, health or anythings BGS (i don't know). Why not having an opposite faction trying to stop you trading in this place. The more you continue the more they annoy you. Now it is "dangerous"

Q: And what about minning?

_ After that I spent good time killing npc here and there. I decided it was time to change my ship and go for something bigger. Cutter/Corvette/Conda doesn't really matters, it's all about money. After spending time I realized I never mined in 700h of gameplay ... So ok let's do minning. What a joke... you can litteraly stay in your favorite spot for age or just out run npc and then you're free to make huge credits... O M G...

q: so it was good to reduce price, right?

a: absolutly not! ! ! You just make the minning more boring and longer... that's all. nothing change really. For me I never go for best selling market, just the nearest and it was enought to make money quickly and peacefully.

So here come my very good suggestion: ( please read all this before answer )

1rst: Reduce all node spawning. (It may gonna make you angry but read the following)

2nd: When scanning POI, or installation, you might find "Faction's Personnal Minning Spot"
_ It give you coordonates of a very efficient spot (random materials). It is basicaly like those U.S.S

3rd: When you jump into this spot you'll have a little amount of time ( eg: 15min) before the faction, you stole those coordonates, comes towards you.
_ 1rst wave: scout
_ 2nd wave: small assault ships
_ 3rd wave: medium ships...
...
... (It is like a survival game mode)
and so on. The thing is, you won't win this battle, if you stay here. you'll have to go away. having crew or squad will help of course.

This will give you a really high amount of money if you can stand for a long time in this place but if you are greedy and not an elite miner... well... . But you have to be warned that you are the bad guy so you won't gain any bounty but you will probably be wanted for your intrusion.

With that it is the end of 600tons T9-heavy without shield selling for 1 000 Mcredits. It add more fun, more chalenge, more rewards, more team play, more community.

More ELITE DANGEROUS feeling ! ! !

please CMDR tell me what you think about that. thank for reading this ! Fly safe

That you completely ignored exploration in your suggestions to rebalance the game?

Thank you for reading my post and taking time to answer me.

I have to be honest and say I didn't explore the galaxy that much and didn't pay attention about price. But if I have to talk about exploration I should start by quote Frontiere Devellopement. They worried about ( new ) players earning money far too quickly and don't stay in the game for long time because of reaching end game ships fast.
Those commanders who explore the galaxy are chill players, they are here to take their time, watching stars, black holes, and other eye candies stuff that elite has to offer. In that, I feel like FD, it isn't a real trouble for now. ( only on Dev side )

I have some ideas but I don't really want to talked about has I don't really know what I'm speaking about.

thank you again

Before FC's the return on an exploration trip was almost all profit, I could fly out for 6 months or more and get back to the bubble with a clear billion+ in profit, that's how I made enough to buy an FC. FC's make exploration....different, we can now reach stars and regions that were beyond the jump range of any previous ship, so I consider an FC to be essential. Now most of the money made during exploration is consumed by purchasing Tritium to refuel for the next expedition, so costs of exploration has risen substantially due to supporting new hardware, rewards have remained the same.

It's still managable, but it's not what I would call profitable!

So are you saying I shouldn't leave the house to go exploring until I have enough for a carrier??! :p

Sounds like a bit of a 1st world problem;) Buff it sure but it should be effort/skill based - e.g. for very remote and hard to get to places (if any are left since FCs - but you get my drift, I leave it to the experts how to buff fairly).

My current expedition involves reaching stars that are thousands of LY above and below the galaxy, there are still quite a few I can't reach even with the FC, but there are a large number I can reach with a FC that I could never get to with any other ships, so yes for me it's essential, but if you never intend to try and reach places that are out of reach of a regular exploration ship then you should be fine. FC's extend exploration in many ways and people who have been exploring look for extra challenges.
