A possible South America Animal Pack too (the 'too' is a bit wishful, but it would be cool to complete South America)

Prediction based on what? Without any base this is just another wishlist, even if I share some of these wishes.
I'm gonna riot if we get that large of a birds DLC but no other big DLC, like bigger tropical animal dlc or primate dlc.Honestly, I still don't support the idea that birds get a much bigger dlc than the aquatic pack, which wasn't even an animal pack.

I think aviaries requiring a larger size is precisely why I don't think they'll happen. Our past 9 packs have shown that Frontier wants to keep things pretty well ordered with the prices. I can't see an aviary pack be anymore than just 8 birds (or even giving some of those spots to bats), and thus be totally worthless.
What I'd prefer is just a pack of 7 habitat birds. Non-aviary birds like fowl, cranes, storks, pelecaniformes, bustards, and other oddities would be highly appreciated, as zoo games tend to greatly overlook birds in their core rosters.

That Oceania pack is perfect! 👌 Literally perfection. 👏

I would pay $20 for that alone lol
It’s good but lacks a wallaby - I’d be sorry to see any of the suggested animals not make it, but perhaps one or more of the species could make it into another pack - e.g., tree kangaroo > tropical or devil > endangered species. After all, the reason Oceania is so badly underrepresented ATM is that, in addition to having a very small starting line-up, it’s only had one animal added in outside its continent-specific pack - fewer than any other ‘continent’ (understandable because of its uniquely high proportion of endemic fauna).

Oceania is so underrepresented! Personally wallabies are so similar to kangaroos they would be my next pick. Bennett's Wallaby or a Rock Wallaby, or Gray Kangaroo would be good choices but the Red Kangaroo in the game already fills that niche for me.

But wallabies would be my next choice for sure.

I could see an initial aviary pack with, say, 16 birds and half of them are "clones" of each other. It doesn't seem like that would add such a huge strain on the team that it would be impossible, it just means that they'd have to start working on it earlier, possibly in chunks throughout multiple seasons. Like, you can have a scarlet macaw and make a hyacinth macaw or something from that without too much trouble.

Honestly, they should use the idea of expansion with 30 birds. Then further on DLCs will contains animals and birds.

I like your lists. Honestly if we get a biome tropical or rainforest pack, rather than something location based, the main two requirements for me would be the Capybara - obviously, there's no way that Frontier would get away with leaving it out of a pack like this without incurring immense pushback here - unless of course it's freely added in which almost certainly isn't going to happen. The other is the Red River Hog for an African component. I would say a Gibbon as well, but I'm not sure they'd pair up two high profile animals like the Capybara and the Gibbon in one pack; and of course, the Capybara should definitely take precedence in a pack like this.

This, or (maybe do both?) add more habitat birds to future packs. For instance, if the rumored Asia pack is next, add a red crowned crane and a golden pheasant. If there's a return to Africa, guineafowl + secretary bird + grey crowned crane. Endangered species pack? Waldrapp ibis.

I am open to any suggestions for the packs, and I am happy to follow through with them, and make cuts where necessary based on the feedback, but any feedback is appreciated, I want to make packs that will satisfy the community

Prediction? That's pretty bold. Are you sure this isn't just a wishlist, as Swjos says?

First of all, we're not going to get two animal packs in a row. The whole point of the animal packs is to create a fair balance between those of us who are more interested in expanding the animal roster and those of us who prefer building. It's more likely that we'll get two animal packs and two scenery packs this year as we did last year. As for what's coming next, that is anyone's guess. I have a feeling it will be a general Asia Animal Pack, or a Middle East Animal Pack, but that's just a wild assumption with no real rationale behind it except that both these regions need further exploring.

As for an aviary "expansion" - that isn't likely. As as has been pointed out numerous times, we don't actually need a full expansion pack for birds. An animal pack with eight species, accompanied by a free update giving us "covered habitats" (rather than single-use aviaries), would be more than sufficient as a base, and fits Frontier's modus operandi much better than believing they will randomly do a big expansion pack. I'd even say that a small scenery pack with four flying birds is more likely.

Your animal choices are fine, if that's what you personally want, but calling it a 'prediction' is a bit much.

I agree that 7-8 birds is probably what we’ll get if we get an aviary pack but I 100% disagree that that’d make it ‘totally worthless’. For me this’d be well worth the price.

I understand that two animal packs in a row isn't the way, but it is possible that 2022 is the last year, I would squeeze in as many animals as possible, tbh, they could fit the Tropical and South America Animal Packs together for one update, same with the Oceania Animal Pack and perhaps an Africa Animal Pack, I also agree that 8 birds would be enough, it would be very selective however

There is pattern of datamined things:
  • Update 1.4 had binturong and babirusa signs (SEA pack)
  • Update 1.5 had entire Africa Pack roster (Africa pack)
  • Update 1.6 had pond enrichment item for beaver (NA pack)
  • Update 1.7 had EU tag with entire building set (EU pack) + capybara and insect signs, porcupine folder, hot spring
Purely based on files evidence next pack should include atleast one of those animals. Datamining doesnt need to be true, but it is atleast something to base opinion on.

Also your tropical pack include LH stick insect, which live in temperate zone so should be excluded from that pack. Well, entire wild population live on big rock with few bushes so it cant even be listed as rainforest animal.

Wouldn't be the first time an exhibit animal goes against the tread. Our South America Pack's red-eyed tree frog is a Central (and thus North) American animal to a much greater extent than it is South American. There's a tiny population in Colombia, compared to their abundance from Southern Mexico to Panama,

Convinced Frontier at least originally, hopefully not anymore, thought Central America was a part of South America lol
