My refinery got stuck, all bins full.

Flying a cutter with 3 5A Collector controllers, a 4A refinery and 576 of cargo space as relevant equipment. I received notification my bins were full, after several hours of mining. At a cargo hold load of about 50/50 of painite and limpets, all bins were 100% fill of painite fragments. There was still enough free space in the hold, to accommodate the refined ore . I tried clearing all the bins to correct the issue. They began to fill up to 100% again, in turn. At that point, I left the area to cash in what I had. I logged out to write a ticket, and see if I can reproduce after logging in again.

I would have thought the game MIGHT use 3 or so bins for painite with 9 collectors flying, but not all of them. Sounds like a bug. there is a ticket. I confirmed. Damn! I was hoping to really smash my record for largest transaction.

Hmm, maybe the refinery can't dump all those to your cargo hold at once because it doesn't fit.

Also, how did you end up with so many painite bins? Lol

Hmm.. thought you could only ever have 1 bin with a specific type of ore, even if cargo was full.

Did a relog clear it?

I fairly positive I had the empty space to convert all that. If it reoccurs, I will triple check.

Once your cargo hold is full you can use the refinery to hold another few tons by emptying bins you don't want, and keeping those you do. You've always been able to have multiple bins of the same type - at least since I've been mining.

Though the screenshot showing all those painite bins does imply that the hold is full...

lol, didn't spot that bit. I never multi-stack the same commodity until I've run out of cargo space, seems pointless until then. I wonder if that could have anything to do with the issue here?

Pretty sure this is a known bug.
I know I've had it happen before.

To me, it's just "one of those things" that you just have to put up with when it happens - which is pretty rare.

I tried it again this morning, but I was not able to recreate the bug. On the plus side, I was able to fill up my hold with 576 tons of painite, which I cashed in for 444 million and change. A new record for me.
