Sort of a bump but new (terrifying) info. See screenshot under target #5


I accidentally hit a star (again) whilst fuel scooping and I now think my canopy has maybe 1 or 2 emergency stops left. I'm still about 25,000LY away from civilization and am scared witless everytime I jump.
I've already set a (pretty) direct route back by changing one or two targets but I also want to make it within 2 weeks for the Zaonce discount... Now it gets interesting...

Target #6 made with no accidents! 19,500LY back to home, I am now taking bets on how far I get down the list. Good odds are I crash in between the Lagoon Nebula and home...

Target #7 made, 1 accident: 16,000LY left to get home and my screen looks like this:

Will post final update with stats and some system maps once back. Going to stop at Quince to repair before selling data in Fed systems to boost rank before Corvette release.

Final update, I made it with a wrecked canopy!!! I was in open mode 100% of the trip and never saw an NPC or CMDR except exit and entrance to Lave (within 75LY).

Correct, I was mostly flying and honking unless anything took my fancy. Scanned all earth/water worlds, neutron stars and black holes but my real goal was to tick off all the targets, see some nebula and run a "real" exploration trip.

Not sure im 100% convinced on the payoff so It may take a re-balance before I explore again. Was worth the experience though.

I'm just finishing a CG, which has left me rather trade-jaded, so I was looking for something else to do in space, and this is the perfect antidote!
