My Rift starts 90 degrees left and too high.

I seem to have rotated the space 90 degrees somehow.
NO easy answers on the forums and the Frontier Search utility is notoious.

Any ideas?
When I sit naturally in my chair, facing the sensors, I am looking out the left hand window.

in Oculus home? just go into the settings and run the senor set up again. Mine usually goes out of sync if I put the computer to sleep, requiring me to either restart or to re-attach the sensors.

Like BaronVonDoon said. Go to Oculus Home and try the recenter function. If that does not work, run the setup again. You should be back in action in no time. :)

That happens to me as well, but it's correct in every other game.

So, I just press F12 when at the start menu (Hangar) to re-centre - very quick fix

Try a redo of the sensor set up (Oculus Home settings > config menu). Sensors may just need to reset the default centre position.

I have to recenter ED every time I start the game. As others have said, you can bind a key/button for recentering the HMD. Sometimes if I take the headset off to google something, or go AFK for a couple of minutes, I might come back and find the orientation hosed up again, and need to recenter. During the game, it all depends on whether the sensors lose sight of the headset when you put it down. But ED is pretty good at randomizing the orientation when the game starts, for some reason, so it's best to just get in the habit of recentering every single time.

AHA!

Thank you,
Reset HMD keybind.

I spent the evening rebooting and stuffing around and only once got my head where it is supposed to be.

Then i had to rearrange where my joystick is because I'm usually a center stick kinda guy.

Boy VR is a compelling experience.
Nothng like watching an output or a video of someone in the goggle.

I kinda wish the touch controllers worked in ED or that the hands and feet followed your movements better.

Have any of you mob made Alien Isolation work?
or must have recommendations for the kids and mates?

Lucky's tail is beautiful for the kids, and any horror walk through for your mates ;)

I have to recommend the Dead and Buried free game for any age group.
Got to have touch controllers for the true six-gun experience, very intuitive to play.
But as most game modes are multi-player, you need to either select game that can be 1 player or play target shoot version. Either that or live with players joining from anywhere in world with possibility for some choice language. I have not noticed too bad a language by players, but it's a possibility.

RE recenter issue
Yes F12 is solution I use. Does mean you have to grope round for keyboard, get yourself positioned and press F12, then put keyboard back on desk.
50/50 chance of dropping it on floor 😉

IF you have voice attack with Astra (highly recommended, especially for VR) then just say 'reset oculus'.
