My s s s s Stuttering Video

"Ctrl+B" - and you will see the answer
"what" and why "is" so bad it works during a jump - I do not know

I had no stutter problems at all in 1.2 and none that I could see in 1.3 until tonight when I travelled to a RES. Suddenly I got huge stuttering, 1/2 second stutters, it was terrible,
My GPU is a Titan-X, I have 24Gb of RAM and my quad core CPU is running at 4.2GHz per core. My system copes with any game on full settings without dropping below 60fps.
THIS is a software or network problem, probably the former.

For me it was very good in 1.3 beta, and stutter near planets is back in its full glory in 1.3 retail version.
Stutter inside stations and jerky flying near starts is still a lot better than 1.2

It sounds like these stutters are on Virtual Servers that are under heavy loads and do not have the same priorities as some servers do.
If FD has not responded to these then its because they know the reason but can not tell us. The denial twist.

Sounds likely. ED 1.3 has improved the graphical part of stuttering visibly for me, everything is so much smoother. But the stutter near planets is still there, I can see that between the stutters, the image is smoother. It sort of stutters more smoothly. And it has been suggested many times that this is not graphics but network/server related and in fact depends on the amount of server traffic.

Since gamma I've only played in Open. I hear Solo is better as far as stutter but thats not why I bought this game. I want to play in Open. This needs to be fixed because I'm already regretting suggesting this game to one of my friends and he bought it based on that. I haven't really even brought it up to the others...

ED released as a base game, fix the base. Otherwise anything you build on it will crumble.

Before 1.3 patch, I had stuttering, afterwards, smooth as silk, not a hint of stuttering.

So I guess they got something right for me, but broke something for others..

I've got HD 6870 1Gb, 8Gb RAM, Q9550 3.4Ghz CPU, and 10,000rpm SATA HD's.

Running under Vista 64bit, but did require non-OS approved video drivers to work correctly..

Now interestingly I have a separate PCI network card, so perhaps that is why I don't get stutter now..

I wonder if the PCI bus is being flooded so to speak ? (He says, trying to sound technical..)

As such, I wonder if any BIOS tweaks might solve the problem ?

Yeah I know its software fixable ED side of things, but if they never fix it...
