My screenshots are missing

Hi all I bought a new computer and everything is good. I only noticed last night that all screenshots taken over the last 4 years are missing. Does anyone have any idea as to how I can get them back. Thanks in advance.

They will be on the hard drive of your old PC.

They are by default kept at Pictures->Frontier Developments->Elite Dangerous
They are in uncompressed .bmp format so if you want to transfer them over, the simplest way is to create a compressed folder and copy the ones you want into it and then transfer the folder(s) over. It can get memory-intensive very quickly, so maybe pick your highlights. I also just got a new computer and backed up my favourites, though I have been using imgur to store jpgs for anything I want to share for a while.

If you use Steam, you can use Steam's screenshot functions to upload the pictures, leaving you free to delete them from your local disk if you want to.

What I like to do is copy/move my favorite screenshots to a folder backed up to Windows OneDrive. Then I never have to worry about losing them because Windows automatically stores them in the cloud where I can download them to any other system that has the OneDrive app.
