Newcomer / Intro My ship goes into critical temperature straight away? even in first combat training missions.

Has any one got any ideas about this, it has stopped me playing the game for some months now I just move on to some thing else.

What would you check first?

Single Player combat training.
Happens in all of the missions but lets say its the first mission or the second mission (shoot the canisters or the first shoot the other ship).

I start playing and then after 15 seconds the ship computer reports high temperature, then it goes critical then the ship blows up.

This can happen even if Im not moving and just sitting there,

It looks like the heat guage in the front display goes up to 222 or so

what the heck is this?

I cant play the game because of this.

Before loading a training session, check your key bindings to see what key is bound to Silent Running. Once you find it either unbind it or don't press it. What you describe sounds very much like you're going silent (turning off heat venting).

thanks that was it, its ok now.

can you recommend any elite video series to go from the training module through to knowing at least a fair bit of the game?
