Hello CMDR's,

Time for a bit of fun I think...

I have some bad news for many of you... Your ship is terrible!

Why? Well simply put if it's not a Cobra MKIII then it's nothing more than a flying wheelie bin.

The Mk3 is also the best looking ship in the game bar non - I know the Courier is a close second but in comparison she is rather ugly and that makes all the rest absolute cowpats!

So there! :p


And what is the point to all this I hear you think?


Pick your favourite ship and tell us all why your's is the best. Gang up on those who are obviously wrong and tell them how misguided they are.

However there are rules besides just the forum ones... Be nice, only back one ship, do not give any allowance to the poor misguided fools who like another type of ship unless it leads to a put down in the end.

But most of all folks remember this is about the ship, not the player ;)

The Aspapythonacorvetteandmaybeonedayananaconda cannot be beat. You're puny ship barely shows up on my HUD and I crush you in the mail slot.

Anything is better looking than the curvy wurvy Empire ships (white whales? Moby ?) ;) or the T7 bolting thrusters and fins to a cargo container is not a spaceship design!

TBH I like the functional brutality of the FDS range (got em all!)

Cobra IV... Looks like the glorious III only with more 'Presence' - must be painted in a colour other than the manufacturers red though otherwise it's 'orrible! Can land anywhere. Can cause serious bowel movements in combat - but as the game is meant to be 'Dangerous', that's a huge point in its favour :p

Clearly it's the Keelback!!

A keel is the flappy bit on the bottom of a boat, except it's now on the back which would make it a fin, so it's a spaceship Dimetrodon which is clearly the best dinosaur that isn't really a dinosaur because dinosaurs didn't exist yet.

Agreed comrad and i think due to the cut throat low tone dangerous vibratory excessively serious nature in this sector in consciousness, these ships were launched into the ethers to give us real pilots something to chuckle about as we go about our tasks.

These Fed ships make the statement that there are no part time guardians where we fly.

Can't say I disagree with the OP here. The Cobra MK III is flat out the best ship in the game. So what she's got her class 1 hardpoints in a bad position. She can't be perfect or why would anyone fly anything else.

She's good in a fight, she's nimble, she can be outfitted for absolutely any task and she the fastest thing in the galaxy which by default makes her the best thing in the galaxy.

There's no ship in this or any other game that tops the Cobra MK III. In of discussion. Mods and close the thread now :D

Also to anyone that dares mention the Cobra MK IV. GET OUT!

I have flown every ship in the game except ones that are unobtainable. As far as realness, I would vote for the Type 9. It just "feels" like I would expect a massive spaceship to feel.

After saying Cobra 4 your dam right to say bye! The men in white coats will be along shortly for you and the other 'wrong' CMDR's except of course for Momoka who is the only other CMDR with any knowledge on this subject!

Once again, if it's not the Mk3, it's not even a ship. :p

The cobra MKIII is so small compared to the orgasmaconda it shouldn't even be called a ship. How about the CobraMk3 rowboat?, mind you it beats the sidewinder canoe.
