My Ship Vanished....

Hey guys so last night I got offline I may have been mid-way between two starports I don't really recall to be honest, however that has never brought up an issue in the past. But anyways when I got on today I was back at the system I originally started in 220Ly away. I was also in a Sidewinder ship... This came as quite a surprise to me since again when I got off i was over 200 ly away and the fact that I was in a Vulture with a hand full of upgrades...

I looked through my different menus I still have my current combat/trader ranks etc. I still have the same amount of cash from last night which btw if for whatever reason my ship was blown up, logging out in between stations, was still enough cash to cover the insurance which I believe was around 400k I have 1.5mil in cash. I then tried to look for my ship seeing if it was docked somewhere but no luck there either the only ship it showed docked was my original Sidewinder in Eravate.

So has anybody else had this happen to them I mean its not the absolute worst thing that could happen but I just had a 5 million dollar ship just vanish out of thin air and Im not overly happy about it.

No, I have never heard of that, but I would go and submit a ticket with FDev and they should help you. It sounds like a serious bug. Also head over to the XBOX Preview Program Bug Forum and post this in there, you should get some help.

sounds like you ran out of fuel (i guess that was what happened), or something/a npc attacked you. you sure you logged out?

the rest of it does sound as a bug, because you should have to decide whether you want to have your ship back and insurance, or set back - and you wouldn't end in your starting position, but your last station docked. raise a ticket!

I got done and Im almost 100% sure I logged off to be honest I was a little drunk so there's no telling. Regardless I had the necessary funds to re-buy my ship with insurance.

FUI, well luckily you didn't crash into a someone in super cruise, there are people trying to leave systems and make a better life for themselves.........anyway I still think that it's a bug, make sure you put in a ticket and let us know how it goes.

We learned the hard way on PC to make sure we were in a safe position before logging off. E.g. out of supercruise and zero throttle. There have been instances where people have logged of in asteroid belts and then when coming back to the game they respawn in an asteroid. Or like you, came back after leaving their ship in deep space throttled up to find themselves reset in station with stock sidewinder as though they had been destroyed. Always remember to 'park' your ship before logging off. :)

Correct, if you die and don't choose rebuy or sidewinder, and just log out. Your next log in will again ask you what you want to do. Rebuy or sidewinder.
