I just got a warning about my sig size.

How can I check the size?

In a post above someone said it was "499 x 100 px" but I guess that is not right.

Help please...

Hello JackbootedThug

As you may be aware the sig rules have changed recently, you can read the updated rules here
http://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18103

This is just a friendly PM to alert you that your sig is not compliant with the new rules. The graphic is fine but with that size you can only have 1 line of text and blank lines count as lines.

I can't tell for sure but it looks like you have at least 3 lines there or even 4 as two lines look blank. Anyway if you can please correct it so there is only 1 line that would be great.

There is an amnesty in place till Monday July 28th 23:59 (11:59pm) GMT. Please change your sig to be compliant with the rules by then.

thankyou

How do I check the size?

I did click "View Image Info" and it said .... "499px × 100px"

As per rules...

If an image is added to a signature, and the image is 500x100, maximum lines permitted is four.

Is that wrong? I am a noob at this.

Hi JBT,

Look at the date of the PM you were sent, Forum Admin updated the sig rules again on the 13th.

As far as I can tell, your signature is within the rules, but it wouldn't hurt for you to PM the person who PM'd you about your sig and ask them to check it again against the new rules.

As far as I understand the image itself complies the rules. The problem is that you have 4 lines of text below the image and it is against the rules:
These are 4 lines of text:

The new rules:
SIGNATURE RULES AND LIMITATIONS

- Maximum image file size limit limited to 250KB.
- Maximum allowed images per user signature is one.
- Animated images (eg: gif image) are not allowed.
- Maximum width of an image is 650 pixels.
- Maximum height of an image is 150 pixels.
- Maximum allowed lines of normal sized text per signature is five.
- If text lines are added to a sig they cannot be made larger than the default size.
- Lines are not allowed to wrap else they count as additional lines
* If an image is added to a signature, and the image is up to 650x150, maximum lines permitted is zero
* If an image is added to a signature, and the image is up to 650x120, maximum lines permitted is one
* If an image is added to a signature, and the image is up to 650x90, maximum lines permitted is two
* If NO image is added to a signature, maximum lines of text permitted is five.
* Quote, code, and/or special bbcode that consumes lines of text, count as two lines each.
* Links do not count as special bbcodes but must adhere to the links rules
* Empty lines of text count as a line / additional line to a signature.

So according to these rules you can have only one line of text.
