My system builds a lot of core building materials but I'm afraid of unhappiness or bust economy

My Posiedon class terrestrial port is producing; for instance, 850,000 units of Steel and similar amounts of the other core building materials with Copper at 2.5 million. Im worried my people will be unhappy or that my system will go into a Bust economy because they produce so much but nobody is buying it.

So, what do I do to reduce the numbers some; perhaps to like 150,000 units of steel, but not bring it down to super small amounts like 8,000 units of Steel?

You don't need to do anything and your concern is unfounded. That's now how the BGS works. BGS moves by player action if it goes bust someone was deliberately doing things to it and if you're just buying stuff to build it won't go bust if anything the income will make it go the opposite way.

If you'd like to reinforce the system Wealth makes it harder to boom or bust. Security helps prevent lockdowns though if nobody is attacking you. You don't need either.
